Delicious and very tender cookies by the looks. I'll try these since I have the cookie press that I've never used! I usually make peanut butter blossoms for Christmas. Gingerbread men too!

Can I make the dough one week ahead and refrigerate? It’s Saturday and my guests are coming Friday, I was planning on baking Thursday. I’m afraid if I make it today it will start to get stale. Your thoughts? Thanks.

Can you cook the cookies half way then transfer them on to wire tray so that they can brown up during the next half of cooking?

You do not want these to 'brown' at all. They are done in moments time. They'd be too soft and fluffy, like marshmellow cream if you transfered them too quickly to racks. This recipe is should be done as recipe calls for on this one...sorry! They are best soft and no browning on the edges at all. Blessings!

Okay got it! I usually prefer things like bread/cookies/etc so dark that they're on the verge of burning but I'm going to try baking these cookies exactly the way you have shown. Thank you for taking the time to reply, I do appreciate it!

I love making spritz cookies but the last time I made them I broke the press. we love in the mountains now so I think that had somewhat to do with that. the dough seemed a little dryer maybe. I followed the recipe on the box. not sure what happened. what do you think?

Not real sure; but sounds like they were too cold or too dry; They need to be 'cool' but like soft playdough to drop off onto the pan. I'd try my recipe and see what you think. Add more milk to the mixture if it gets too thick again. Let me know how it goes. Blessings!

I replayed the ingredient part a couple times, but I don't think you said how much vanilla extract? I heard the egg (before) and the almond extract (after) with amounts, but not that. Can you tell me? :) Thanks, can't wait to try it!
