I find that the oats are kinda chalky if you use cold water and put it straight into the fridge, so I usually put hot water with my oats then put it in the fridge. The texture comes out so much better! (:

Love your flavor combinations. You might try doing lacto-fermented overnight oats for some beneficial bacteria in your gut. You can keep your basic recipe the same but add one tablespoon of yogurt or kefir and leave the jar on the counter covered with a cloth overnight. In the morning your oats will be teaming with probiotics and your grains will be more easily absorbed by your body. Fermenting oats is a fantastic idea.

I once tried overnight oats with yogurt and I threw them out cause I didn't like them at all. I love hot oatmeal with fruit like your frozen blueberry oatmeal I tried was delicious. This morning I tried your overnight oats recipe with frozen berries and then I added 30 grams of banana and a tablespoon of fruit spread. It's so good I never liked overnight oats now I do thank you so much your recipes are sooo amazing.

Thank you for inspiring me to make my own overnight oats!! I tried one for the first time last night and was SO happy with it this morning! I dont have chia seeds currently on hand so I swapped that out for flax seeds. So I did oats, water, flax seeds, 6 shakes of cinnamon, 2 TBS maple syrup, and added a dash of half & half this morning since it needed a teensy bit more moisture. SO AMAZING

I get what you mean by "sugar free" but you probably should call it 'No sugar added' instead. For people who dont understand, theres sugar in the fruit, so if you have diabetes or you are on a low carb diet or a diet that limits even natural sugars, just skip any fruits (including rasins)

Just came here to say I tried the blueberry recipe and it’s sooo good! I just wanna offer the suggestion of using unsweetened vanilla almond milk for more flavor and a more creamy consistency. I add a full cup of that rather than just 1/2 a cup. Also, if you find that it’s not very filling (I got hungry sooo fast and I’m only 110 lbs), I added a half a scoop of protein powder and it also adds more flavor, and helps with cravings/ hunger, for me at least.

Where do you buy your almond butter and raw maple syrup in south africa?
@LiezlJayne8 жыл бұрын
Woolworths has the best 100% pure maple syrup, and Almond butter you can get at various places these days (it depends what city you live in). Dischem (all over SA) and Wellness Warehouse (CT) would be a good start. You can order from Wellness Warehouse wherever you live as well. Then smaller health stores sell it too. There's tons of small health stores that sell it in my city! :) XO
