Bro, you do such a great job of communicating complex subjects in very simple ways for your viewers and for your athletes. Your channel is easily one of the best strength and conditioning channels on KZbin, and you deserve way more subs. Respect and keep up the the great work.

Absolute fantastic video. Chris any chance you can do a video of each phase? Reason i request this is two-fold 1. You have answered my request in the past and i know you a man of your word for that 2. Im training my sons who are both very young as fast bowlers(cricket) US equivalent of baseball pitchers, and i feel as though that the core is the most important compartment of their functional sport specific activity. Both are excelling and fingers crossed they will tryout for a pro team at the youth level. I feel as though this would get them in if i can enhance their core strength.

Interesting you included shots of club pullovers as I recently added a heavy steel club and have been liking it. Granted, I also have a steel mace, but I can use the club indoors 🤣

Yo Chris, train any golfers? Want too? I'm interested in your training program but I want to know if my sport is something you have some experience in training.

Do I need to train each movement 2x a week? At 2 workouts per week this would mean I have to do Rotation, Lateral Flexion, Extension, Flexion after every workout.. Or is it enough if I train each function 1x per week, so only 2 after each session?

Yo Chris, what’s your thoughts on Cal Dietz’s RPR?

I haven't dived in and used it enough to form an opinion. Some guys in my coaching group love it

Thanks Chris. How do you program this? How many days a week, year round or part of off season/pre season, how long on each phase, etc?
@overtimeathletes2 жыл бұрын
Good question so I'm referring to progressing through an off season where each phase usually last a month to 6 weeks. We typically train 4 days per week so with that in mind I actually just devote each day to 1 of the 4 areas I described (flexion, extension, lateral flexion and rotation)

@@overtimeathletes Thanks for the response. I'll second the request someone else made for a video on each phase with exercise selections. I'd guess that the first two phases are more or less the same for all athletes, but phase three becomes a bit more sport specific?

Some coaches doing core before the lifting Why do you doing after?
@beberdos2 жыл бұрын
I'd say its to avoid too much core fatigue before the big lifts. Plus he usually works on explosive exercices and plyos at the beginning of his workouts which is in itself a great way to involve the trunk.
