At a certain point we need talk about Ozempic Osteoporosis, because if you're losing your hair there's no way it isn't affecting your bone density.

That's certainly possible, but people don't need to talk abotu it unless it actually turns out to be true.

Bone density issues will stem from things like a diet depleted or lacking in the minerals and nutrients that act as metabolic cofactors which contribute to bone health. A sedentary lifestyle is also a contributing factor to osteopenia and osteoporosis. To your point though, Ozempic bypasses Nature's path to a healthier weight and overall wellbeing (exercise and modest caloric intake of nutrient-dense foods) in favor of a drug that shuts down appetite. A person needing Ozempic to "do the weight loss for them" is not guaranteed to swap the foods they eat to choices that nourish and strengthen the body. Most likely, they'll continue to eat processed low-nutrient crap....just a LOT less of it. In that way, their bones will weaken.

Is this eating internal muscles and all? I was considered terminally ill. It sucks getting them back. Muscles you don't notice till they are gone. Like the sphincter and feet! No finger strength. Nothing. A safer fat drug needs to be made. You know this isn't going to stop.

So it's not Ozempic causing it, it's the fact that they are suddenly eating so very little. Their bodies probably are reacting as if there were a famine. if they just ate a reasonable, healthy diet instead of starving themselves, they would be fine, wouldn't they?

I've been taking semaglutide. You CAN eat healthy. Small portions of healthy stuff. Not forgetting the needed protein and vitamins and minerals. Lots of water too.
@szpaqus

they aren't starving themselves, like the whole point of ozempic is that it takes away the appetite... and they take it because they didn't have healthy portion control in the first place so without meds to regulate it the weight is too high. and lastly, any weight loss will probably trigger hair loss, no matter how healthy the diet. the body doesn't want to produce unnecessary tissue like hair.

I will never understand. Just eat healthy and go to the gym what is so difficult? And it’s not a money problem either because I’m a broke college student and somehow with my broke bank account and very busy schedule I still make time. Ozempic originally used to be a diabetes medication. People are just lazy.

It has happened to me. I've lost about 40 to + 50 lbs thanks to Saxenda and my hair's tailbone length so it's really noticable for me. I swear, half of my hair has fallen off and the quality has gone to shit. I've ordered some hair oils online, I doubt it will work but then at least I've tried. It started in August and my doctor said it can be due to my weight loss... 😢 Thanks for giving me a timeline ❤

Every one of my pregnancies, I gained around 60-70lbs, but would rapidly lose it and back down to 110 within 4-6 mos. Well every time my hair would start falling out in clumps! To help it regrow I would massage my scalp with pure rosemary oil every night, it helped so much, maybe you can give it a shot too

I did my own version of being on ozempic. All you need are two back-to-back diverticulitis attacks and then a bowel resection and you're guaranteed to not only starve the weight off, but gain it all back and then some! Ozempic, sounds like it has the same side effects as having a diverticulitis attack. Loss of appetite, anorexia, nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea... Fun times! Been there did that. I lost 35 lbs on my own. Gain back about 10-15lbs depending. And yet my pants maintained that weightloss.

the hair will only grow back (with help) once you are off ozempic, as long as you take ozempic the side effect will be there. Once you stop, you can possibly, with some help, get your hair to grow back...

I know plenty of women with this problem and I have absolutely no sympathy whatsoever when something is a result of their own actions. Stop being lazy and work out, stop shovelling food in your mouth if you can’t control your weight, I understand there are certain medical conditions that can contribute to weight gain, I’ve had the same with certain medications where I was off work for a few years undergoing many spine surgeries, but I managed it by exercising and changing my diet, just like many other people are capable of, the problem lies with you and your life choices. Disciplining yourself has major benefits!! Losing your hair because you want to lose weight is hilarious to me, obviously not many people knew about this side effect but that’s more reason to do your research on the products and risks before you put your body through it. Be accountable.

Why are you so angry at ozempic users? You wouldn't judge recovering opioid addict for using methadone to ease recovery. It's no different from people using ozempic in order to get their food addiction under control.
