I don’t usually comment but I’ve gotta say this is one of the best pandan chiffon cake recipe out there! I’ve tried many and my cakes always turned out dense whereas this time my cake was light,airy and fluffy!! This recipe also uses less oil/sugar than most so it’s great for those who are health conscious. I’ll be trying many more recipes by Apron for sure!

What type of measurement is Apron using? I measure 30 ml liquid is an ounce, but I see him/her has so much for 30 ml pandan water. I would really like to make this cake It looks yummy.

Made this recently and it turned out amazing! I think the batter when baking could've turned out more fluffy and airy though, I'm open to any suggestions if anyone has any. Other than that the taste is wonderful, thank you so much for this recipe!!

@@ivylo4571 嗨,你好,不會啊!因為椰槳沒有糖,做出來班蘭葉味道很濃和香。10gm糖 是放在粉糊,40gm是放在蛋白裡,用大點的雞蛋,我把雞蛋和椰槳水的都回溫。

Hi Apron ..i made this today too..and it look just like yours 😅😅...the texture is very soft and not overly sweet. Well this is my 1st try ...i guess some people doesnt success due to oven temperature ( too hot or too low ) and the egg white is not whipped to the way it should be. ( over whip or under whip).

tip: add a pinch of salt to bring out the flavour more! us thai people like it a little bit salty even

I always add a pinch of salt whenever I bake cakes using meringue technique. It enhances the flavor of the other ingredients.

Hi Apron, I made it twice and it was delicious. However, there was once when I removed the lower pan upside down, I can see that the middle part sank down. I’ve followed your guidelines to beat the egg white on high speed until foamy, and then turn to low speed while adding sugar. Whole process I timed it around 8 mins. May I ask what did I do wrong?

Hi Apron, Thank you for your reply. If I want to bake a bigger cake in a 25cm/10inch size tube pan, what is the amount of All the ingredients I should increase and the baking temperature and baking time so that I can have the similar cake but bigger in size. Are you using a fanforce oven or just a top and bottom heat oven?

@@lilychau1671 for me even we using non stick pan we always greasing the inner pan. Because i have tryed before without greasing,when i made baked cake, my cake sticky in the pan😕🙆 but specifically for making cotton cake,i dont know yet. Is good or not to not using non stick pan. As i know when i watch on youtube or ig they alwasys used non stick pan.

Hmmm I tried making as well as it’s interesting that to know 3 eggs can make a 8inch. However, I realize after making, the batter doesn’t even fill up half of the tin this the chiffon doesn’t rise up to the brim of the tin. Abit disappointed. Maybe 4 eggs will do the job. But need to adjust the rest of the ingredients qty?

Pandan essence doesnt have the pandan taste and that beautiful green color. Pandan essence basically only gives you the pandan aroma. It's better to use pandan paste instead^^

Hi Apron, I followed your recipe & baked the cake today twice. They turned out too soft & cake didn’t hold the shape well. It’s collapsed a bit when I tried to remove it from the mold. Perhaps I should reduce wet ingredients??

Is it to use speed 3 as low speed thought-out d beating of egg whites?. Is it normal for the cake to deflates towards time up it deflates slightly?. I understand d surface will be lower again when cooled after an hour or so. Is it true to say that when seeing d cake begins to deflates n almost cooked but 5 to 10 mins time before d baking time, can remove d cake to cool? Is this fact true?

I really want to try this, i have few questions: 1. How to make sure the dough won't running out? Because bottom chifon tin form is not fully close 2. I have oven gas in our rent apartment, but they don't have function for upper and bottom heat. So we only can use one of them. Do you use both side heat? I'm desperate to try this recipe. Looks so fluffy.

It came out spongy but did not rise, small and flat. It was delicious regardless. This recipe is good for small pan i supposed. I'll double the recipe and try again.

Due to the lockdown, I am trying baking more these days. I have never baked Pandan cake from scratch, but I have baked other chiffon cakes many times. I noticed your recipe does not have baking powder. I normally add it even if I use cake flour. Can I use corn oil instead of coconut, it can be any oil, am I correct? Thank so much. I am going to try as soon as I get fresh Pandan leaves.

Hi Apron, I tried baking today but not as good as it shud be.. Your vdo shows the cake flour 60 grm or 5 tbsp... I measured 5 tbsp flat which came to be hardly half cup. It seems less to me as my yolk mixture was not as thick as you showed.. Please advise.. Thanks

Is there a difference between pandan paste and essence? will the substitution for the pandan juice be the same by adding 30ml more of the coconut milk. I assume the coconut milk must be in room temperature?

I just tried to make according to your recipe but double the quantity as my cake pan is 25cm. My cake rose very well during baking but sinks when it's done. It's fluffy at the bottoms half and dense at the top half. Can you please tell me what I may have done wrong, I baked for 50 mins. Thanks

Hi, there are many factors for this, baking temperature, excessive stirring causes defoaming or insufficient to beat egg white

Hi, can use normal cake pan, and no need use parchment paper, this cake needs to climb to the edge of the mold

Thank you, Apron. I have tried baking . But the top of cake became too burnt. I will need to reduce the top heat. Also there are little wet parts inside the cake and my cake us not light and fluffy enough. I will try to bake again

Hi, cream of tartar can stabilize the egg whites to beat swell easily, can be replaced with 1/2 tsp lemon juice
