Great video! I've had pretty severe sleep apnea for years but as a young man who was otherwise healthy, I was extremely stubborn. Now I have started a family my priorities are little different. I bought myself a G3 and I've had a hell of a time adjusting to it. I keep waking up in the middle of the night with the sensation that I'm breathing hot air. Living in Queensland it's generally pretty humid here already, I've turned the humidifier on "Auto" but now I'm thinking I may need to adjust it manually. Thanks, for this quick explainer of the system, it was very helpful.

Hey Kodi, thanks for the comment. Yes i think if you're in a pretty warm and humid environment it would be best to turn down the humidity manually on the machine. Let me know how you go with it as i'm sure many people on the channel will be interested. Thanks

I picked this up for work. My last one was smaller kzbin.infoUgkxtD9aJ2m6GU-X1IChQxjn9l31K1A7Kpwj and cuter but the motor burned out within a few months. This one's footprint is a tad bigger but it still doesn't eat up a lot of desk space. Its size and shape blends into the background nicely. This has a good size water container so I don't need to refill more than once a week. I use filtered (not distilled) water because cleaning up after our hard water is tough at work. I like that this has several settings. It's also very quiet. (I have a silence naxi in the next cubicle.) It also hasn't left that terrible while powder, so far, that some humidifiers leave. Been using this for a month or so now and am very happy with my purchase.

I use a resmed air sense but my husband uses the Luna G3. My app tells me how many episodes I have per night but I cannot find that info on the Luna app under report. Is there a special name they give to this so we can check? Love the machine but I wish the info was downloaded to his phone each morning automatically as my resmed machine does. Thankyou and great tutorials - we were set up in no time at all.

My wife had been using Dreamstations (which she has had a lot of trouble with), and just got one of these last week. I think this foam filter is kind of MEH. I remember when we had the forest fires in our area, the ultrafine filter turned a dark gray color. I doubt if the foam would filter out much of the smoke.

I recently got this machine, and I do like it. It’s very quiet, and sometimes I wake up and think that I don’t have it on when I actually do. My question is - is it ok to unplug it when I’m not using it? The medical supply person told me that the manufacturer doesn’t recommend doing that.

@@locnott2 I think it might be your mask and not the machine. If my mask isn’t on right, or it’s time to replace it, I can hear the machine.

@@locnott2 My wife's is loud too. She has to wear a Snugs cover on her mask because of allergies, and I think that leaks. Look at the report to see what the leak is. You can also see what the leak is while it's running.

My husband just switched to this from an Resmed Airsense 10. I never minded him wearing that one and the sound was something I never noticed. This new Luna G3 is SO LOUD! I hear breath in and out all night. (About 1/3-1/2 way to Darth Vader level). Is there there something he isn’t doing right? At current noise level it is definitely a no go. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Nick, I've been binge-watching all your videos recently while trying to decide which treatment is best for me (mild sleep apnea/11 apnea events per hour). Would you recommend an APAP like this BMC machine on a low pressure setting or should I rather go with a Bpap from the get-go to avoid breathing discomfort? Never used a CPAP before. Hi there, that is quite mild. Personally i'd probably just try stay off my back whilst sleeping however if you're very tired and struggling then doing a cpap therapy trial for a month is probably a good idea. I'd just get an apap like the BMC. You won't need a BiPAP device. Good luck

Hi there, all cpap machines have foam (except the Z2). The only machines that have the dangerous PE-PUR foam that i can find are the Philips and the Devilbiss DV54 series. The luna G3 and Luna IQ are safe and effective machines. Cheers

In fact, I never knew that Obstructive Sleep Apnea(OSA) even existed until last month when I realized that I have always had excessive nightmares, snored loudly, waking up at night 5 to 6 times to urinate, being waken up several times by my wife when she felt that I was struggling to breathe... oh man, my nights were a living hell...I would wake up in the morning feeling so tired....then, I decided to Google : "why do I choke in my sleep?". Bang, there came OSA well explained!!! That was my first time to know about it. For 54 years of my life, I lived in such a deep ignorance about OSA😢😢. Being an African black man, the closest thing to my mind when choking in my sleeep would have been: " witchcraft... I would have said: "someone might be bewitching me" 😂😂😂😂. Luckily, I believe God, and I don't have that mindset.😂😂😂😂 What I rather did was to rushed to my doctor. The latter confirmed that I had Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Same week, I bought my BMC RESmart G3, Auto CPAP. After 3 uses, I got used to it... I now wake up in the morning feeling so energized... I don't wake up in the middle of the night to urinate anymore, my health is getting better and better... It's winter in Cape Town South Africa, I set the humidifier to 2, oh man, I am enjoying this treatment - great comfort and benefit. I have no dry mouth, as I used to get it before I started the treatment... I mean, I used to wake up like 4 times to drink water every night because my mouth and throat were too dry... now all that has disappeared. I hope you understand why I enjoyed your video on G3 CPAP machine.

I have a question please if you can help 🙏 🙂 my dad is on 18/12 and backup rate 14, upon testing with the full face mask ( another brand already owned ) after 30 mins ramp, I noticed real time leak is almost always LK 0.0L/min and in the morning 1 day usage shown leak around 1.4L/ min which is almost impossible for that high pressures?? When I checked on QR+ app, the leak >90L is can be some day 0.14h +++ /// another night shown leak on one day usage = 09.L/ min but on QR+ app it shown leak >90L/ min around 58 minutes. How is that possible ?? Doesn't make sense to me at all. He is using around 5.5. To 6 hrs. A night. Please help, Thank you so much
