Excellent overview, full of light! The logos was indeed the channel, the agent by which the new creation was revealed, brought into being. Top job Bill !!!

Nice work Bill. I was chatting on Kelly Powers channel while he was explaining the Trinity the other day. All I did was dropped John 1:3 from the LSV and YLT into his chat and he kicked me off😂

That shows fear. The problem is for them, John 1 is THE key passage which they think is evidence of more than one God (or, more than one person who is God). If John 1 is not saying what they think it says, their idol crumbles.

I really appreciate your coverage of John 1. It's really helpful. I've had to come back to put notes in my Bible. Thank you!

I agree with your conclusions. Yet the logos (to me) could still be the Gospel message (Mark 1:1) and fit into your model.

I agree, yes, L/logos can mean the Gospel message. The man Jesus epitomizes that message.

What's the difference between "the word" and the words Jesus spoke (e.g. in John 12:49)? What does John 6:63 mean? A definition of this "word" and "spirit" would be extremely useful. Here is an interpretation of what I've understood so far from John 1: In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and what God was the word was. This word was in the beginning with God. Everything came to be through it, and apart from it nothing came to be. In whom has [become] is life, and that life was the light of humankind. And in the darkness the light shines, but the darkness did not perceive it. The word became flesh and dwelled among us, and we have seen his glory-the glory as the [monogenes] from the Father, full of grace and ["the word of God" according to John 17:17] It is the spirit that gives life, the flesh profits nothing. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. - John 6:63 What does John 6:63 mean?

I write stuff down to help me think... And this is where my question comes from. The below is my current understanding of the message: In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and what God was the word was. This word was in the beginning with God. Everything came to be through it, and apart from it nothing came to be. In whom has [become] is life, and this life was the light of humankind.

@SpareShort Jn6:63 from what you have pointed out yourself means, that Gods word of promise has come through the great prophet that God said in Deut18:18, that a great prophet He will raise up from among the Jews, a Jewish man, who will speak the words that He will put in that great prophet mans mouth. Logos, words. Its all words. That being that God is the source of salvation THROUGH that great prophet, the man Jesus. This, with a hint of wording from Genesis creation, is John telling us that all this has come about, and now..... all the details follow.. The rest of Johns gospel, which takes us to the happenings and the new creation, which is neither Jew nor Gentile, which is revealed in the writings of the letter writers after pentecost. A new thing has happened, the body of the anointed is created who become sons of God through the "new birth" neither Jew nor gentile, but one NEW man, who have a promise of glorification with Jesus in the age to come (this current time we are living in) leading to the kingdom (still coming... not long now). This was always Gods plan, a secret hid lest if those rebel elohim had known they wouldnt have been those slavering bulls of Bashan who compass about the crucified christ (in the spirit) who demonically inspired the jewish leaders to kill Jesus. 1Cor2:8. Eph3:10.

Hi, I think Jesus epitomized God's communication and power toward us (especially Israel, but by extension all humankind) that the author uses Word/Logos to describe the man Jesus. Like in Revelation 19:13, Jesus becomes the instrument through which God judges, so he is called the Word of God. Cf. Acts 17:31.

Bill these things are perfectly interconnected to the “from heaven / heavenly” realities coming into being through Yeshua. The “coming from heaven” talk of Yeshua in the book of John is very misunderstood by the trinitarians & pre existence believing people - as though Yeshua was literally “from”heaven as though he literally was in a different past time and place. Yeshua is heavenly (from heaven) because he has access to the Father, because “heaven” is open to him. Moses was in “heaven” when he was with the Father on mount Sanai. Jacob was in “heaven” when he was at Bethel and saw the ladder, therefore why he named that place “bet El”. Now this is how this connects to you proving John 1 is speaking of a new creation instead of the Genesis creation - what John is referencing specifically is “let there be light” and the very beginning of the Genesis creation. That unknown first light of the Genesis creation was a light from “heaven” from above, from God! In this same way, John is saying here, That the Genesis “first light” was symbolic of this “light” from heaven, from Elohim, that began to shine light, yes at Yeshuas conception and birth, but in a complete way when John the Baptist came proclaiming him to be the lamb of Elohim at Yeshuas baptism and beginning of his public ministry. I think this is an important piece of the puzzle you need to add to this teaching to prove the point that John is making in John 1. Namely that the work and beginning of the ministry of the Messiah is “the beginning” of new light that brings eternal life to a world in which EVERYTHING ends in death (ultimate darkness and the culmination of the sin of the first Adam). I struggled to fully see clearly that John 1 was about a new creation, until I saw clearly that Col 1:15-16 was the new creation. I then realized that when the psalm says “the heavens declare the glory of Elohim”, and that Yeshua was the light of the world and the bright morning star, and that all the astronomical talk from the saints of the TNK and in the book of Revelation, I realized it ALL was symbolic of the “heavenly” son bringing light to the world and glory to Elohim! “The heavens” meaning the light of the beginning of Genesis 1, and the sun moon and stars, all point to Yeshua being what is truly “from heaven” “heavenly” and what ultimately brings light and life to a a chaotic, dark, and dying world! This brings glory to YHWH! Hopefully I communicated well enough to help you understand what I have been shown. If you want to talk about it send me a message back and I will contact you. Thanks for all your labor, I know it is bearing fruit!

Jesus seems to be fulfilling the feast dates in chronological order. If true then he fulfilled Passover by dying in the cross. What is Passover about, forgiving sins or the angel of death passing over anyone who was inside with blood on the doorpost? Passover didn’t have anything to do with anyone’s sins. It was about escaping death. Why do people mix Passover with atonement? It seems like the atonement hasn’t happened yet. The current teaching has atonement out of order.
