Hello! From Diane from Greenville SC. I’m sparring with my doctor as I’ve gone WFPB and she’s all about low Carb and protein. But I’ve done this nearly a year now and lost a BUNCH of fat. I’m looking to hike mountains (south eastern US mountains near my home) into my 80s. Will reaccess at 90. I’m 70 years young in October. You’ve been a part of my new journey toward Blue Zone health from the start, so I wish to Thank you. Many blessings to you, and your family.

Doctors, traditionally, are in the business of dealing with issues after they occur as opposed to helping prevent. There's a new generation coming up that's taking nutrition more seriously, thankfully.

Autophagy (pronounced Ah-toff-a-Jee) is also enhanced by the caloric reduction/time-restricted eating. It's kind of the way the Keto folks think they are offsetting the damage of meat/dairy/fat. I'm 66 in a few weeks, and feel better today by following a lot of the suggestions. I haven't read this book, but most of this is included in the WFPB lifestyle. Thanks, Jeremy!

Another awesome & informative video Jeremy. Dr. Greger is a good and reliable source of nutritional information (unlike the animal products industries). He isn't motivated to give the information for profit because that would make the information questionable and unreliable. Thanks 👍 for all the videos you make and I appreciate them. We hope to not just add years but to add active, healthy years! Adding 3 years in a debilitated state isn't something I would want. WFPB is the way to go! Also, while oganic fruits and veg don't correlate with early death, some have been shown to increase the incidence of Parkinson's Disease and Glyphosate (found in Round-up) is correlated with lymphoma.

Hello from Portland OR. My copy of How Not to Age is right here beside my computer screen. I ordered a hardback instead of a digital copy because it is handy reference book searchable through its index. Yes, I've used it quite a lot. It's also a fascinating read. It was the only real life book I had on hand during a terrible power outage we had last winter (no way to charge my phone, where my Kindle is). I read it all day under lots of blankets and with a flashlight when it was too dark.

What if we don’t have partners? Can one experience health benefits of sex, e.g. endorphin release, from self-pleasure? There has to be more than zero effect. I realize Dr. G probably doesn’t have studies on this or you would have mentioned the distinction. Really nice book review, btw!

Absolutely. There’s less of the workout/calorie aspect - I mean - I assume so… :) but the chemical release exists either way as far as I understand it.
