Hi Pearl, watched the video and enjoyed. So nice to hear the Anglo Indian accent. Being an Anglo Indian, pepper water and beef Chilli and pepper fry is comfort food. All the best.

Pearl, I chanced upon your channel courtesy YT. I love Anglo Indian food. Made this with lamb today along with yellow rice cooked in coconut milk. It was smashingly delicious and reminded me of my young life in India

The pepper water is a version of Rasam, or as it is also locally called Mulgtanni - which is morphed in to Mullagtwny soup in USA and Canada. Although that mullgtwny soup no longer appears even remotely close to the rasam or Pepper-water that you made. 👍

I just made this for the first time and it tastes exactly like how my mom makes it. Thank you so much ❣️ Also its a long procedure and now I realise how much effort my mom takes to do this and we just eat it up so fast 😂 Whenever I go down for holidays mom always makes it. Thank you once again ❤️ Looking forward to more Anglo indian recipes.

Hey Pearl, just discovered your channel. As a young Anglo-Indian in the UK, away from home, I'm absolutely delighted I can follow along your recipes to remind me of Nanna and Mumma's cooking back home, and I don't have to wait till Christmas before I return and have some good ol' Anglo food. Thanks and God bless 🙌

Hi Immanuel, yes for this version it is , but for the dal pepper water we don’t use it. You can try making it without it and see what it’s like, I personally prefer the dal version 😄❤️🙏🏽
