Looking at all the comments affirmed exactly what I was thinking. I felt so sorry for the plaintiff. Seemed like she was in a bad spot and a fragile state. The defendant took advantage and bullied her. She didn't even give any legitimate reason why she didn't want her there after renting the room. Not once, but twice! No doubt the witness was lying for his friend, but at the point the judge called him out he couldn't admit to perjury. He basically backpedaled as much as he could without saying he outright lied. The texts were very telling. Who wouldn't immediately say what are you talking about when someone asks for money back, unless you in fact did take their money, but didn't want to pay it back. I hope the plaintiff is doing well now. She seemed like such a sweet lady.

Nothing's more inspiring than coming home, after a long day's work, and having a stranger completely dismiss your struggles and stressors and then turning it around, making it all about themselves... 😒 It's one thing to remind someone of the positive aspects of their life when they're feeling down, trying to focus on the bright side. It's a whole nother thing when you try to one-up their problems with your own, throwing your situation in their face and expect that to make them feel better and be grateful for what they have just because you don't have those things. If someone is opening up or venting about what's bothering them, they're looking for you to listen, not a competition of who has it worse. Those are the type of people who think that people that are better off than them, or at least appear to be, particularly financially and/or materialistically, don't have the right to complain or think that their life is difficult. They're so jaded from their own problems in life that they lose the ability to sympathize with those who struggle differently than them.

The plaintiff described the defendant, multiple times, as a crazy woman and the first thing the defendant says is everything the plaintiff said is true? 😮

Plaintiff is adorable. And defendant sounds like a closest alcoholic or addict. That’s the only thing that makes sense for her personality flipping so crazily. It would explain her vile meanness too.

What a jerk that defendant is. Gas lighting and just being mean to this poor woman. Def a "bully" type. Like a my way or the highway type lady. Not sure why somebodys goal is to just be an asshole to others who are in need or down on their luck. Prob miserable in her own skin and life. So everyone else has to suffer her wrath. F That and her. Hope the plaintiff is doing alright these days.

Tommy is a very lucky man he is not serving a jail sentence for perjury. Lying in a court room on oath to defend a friend who was also lying.

The defendant is a liar AND she told Tommy exactly what to say. And she can't keep her lips closed! What's wrong with JM-- sometimes she can't imagine that a liar would show up in her court. Hello? "I had to defend my friend.". And lie.

Omg, I remember this woman on The Sopranos. She played Big Pussy's wife, and she was perfect for that part as she was so timid and afraid of Tony Soprano! Wow, she was right that she fell along way down because so many people became over the top famous from that show. I felt so bad for her and wished I could have given her a place to live (I do realize that this aired some years ago). At least she won her case and got away from that horrid, evil defendant who was nothing but a big ugly bully! So sad what some people have to go through just to find a half way decent place to live. She def should have stayed in Cali!

Considering they only knew each other about six weeks, they had a lot going on. The plaintiff seemed nice but there must be something a bit off about her if none of her family wanted to help her and the defendant became her only hope. She seems unstable suddenly moving to California and then moving back again. It sounds like the defendant is a bully and should not have roommates. Tommy for sure lied. He must be at the defendant's beck and call, even picking the plaintiff up from the airport when he had only known her a few weeks. The plaintiff seemed so happy at the end when she only received 400 back. Strange that would make her so happy. All told this was a very strange case.

I'm glad the plaintiff won. With all the badluck she's had she really didn't need this woman taking her money and then kicking her out in a week or the end of the day whatever. And I mean yea, people really truly don't understand on this show that if someone says u took money from them and in text u nvr say "what chu talkin about"....that means they most likely speaking truth cause that's an actual reaction to someone saying something of that regard that nvr happened

My thoughts as well. Why would her own family not help her and why would she need to depend on a stranger she was put in touch with through a friend? I thought the plaintiff was likeable but there's definitely something deeper going on behind the scenes.

10:32 “There’s no Wi-Fi”. Well, technically Wi-Fi is just the Wireless (Fidelity) signal generated from your Wi-Fi router or access point. -If- the place just has an internet connection, she can plug an access point into an available RJ45 jack and broadcast her own wi-Fi network.
