The plaintiff says she went to the defendant’s hair salon for color correction, but they made it worse. She’s suing for a full refund and the cost to have it redone. The defendant says she’s a master colorist, and the plaintiff came in with terrible color. She says the plaintiff returned a few days later for a partial refund, and now they’re in court.

I can tell the defendant knows what she's doing, her hair didn't get that way over night, it took several sessions before she could get even her own hair to a level light enough before she could get it to that beautiful silver color. I disagree. If the defendant couldn’t do with the plaintiff ass because it was unreasonable then fine, explain that you cannot have your hair corrected into one color in one day so you’re paying 650 for two days of coloring correction. There is the problem right there! It should’ve been communicated and she possibly would not have been unhappy. It’s not her job to understand how the process should be done! It’s not even her job to understand that it can’t be done. She did not go to Hair school which is why she was going to a professional to correct it.

This is why my stylist always has me come in at least a few days priors to dyeing my hair for a consultation. She’s the only person that dyes my hair, but still wants to inspect it first to make sure where it’s at in terms of previous treatments, leftover bleaching, etc. Dyeing your hair isn’t easy (especially for those of us who have naturally darker hair). If they say that you need to come back the next day for finalized results, then you come back the next day 🙄

This must’ve been the plaintiffs first time changing her hair color. She clearly doesn’t know how bleaching & coloring changes work. You cannot expect to be bleach blonde overnight coming from darker natural hair especially. It may take 2 or even more sessions to get it as light as you want it (speaking from my own experience)…& her hair actually didn’t even look bad after the first session the defendant did tbh

Honestly, if I am paying someone $650 to color my hair, and I am sitting in the chair for SEVEN HOURS while the do my hair, I am going to be absolutely happy when I see the finished hair or I am not giving you the $650. According to the stylist, she paid $650 for 2 sessions and she only had one. When she left the salon, she was happy with the hair, but if there WAS a problem with the color, why didn't she just simply say to the lady " Look...when I got home and really looked at my hair, I see things that I am not perfectly happy with. I do have this second session that I paid for, and I am not happy with the color. Can you please make some time in your schedule and fix it for me. This is what I am not happy with." and show the stylist what the problem is. Instead, she just storms in and DEMANDS half the money back and didn't even give the lady a chance to fix it. And considering she came in with black and orange badly damaged hair, I'd say the color came out pretty good. Its very subtle highlights in the blonde. To hear her talk, I was expecting her to look 10 times worse. Like tacky, ugly highlights of green in brassy blonde hair, with the ends all frizzy and damaged. I think the ruling was absolutely fair.

@@mikesteele05 nor would I. But what the plaintiff wanted was $650 because she wrecked her hair for years prior using drug store box dyes and what not. A lot of correction was needed to achieve the light blonde she wanted. Shadow roots don't necessarily need to cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Because I somewhat know how to do my own colouring, it cost me ~$50 👍

People like this are so frustrating, they told her it would take 2 sessions and she said the second session was the next day, she messed up her hair, went to someone to salvage it and couldn't handle 24 hours to let them do the job? You couldn't get 1 day off if it was such an issue for your job? This is why salons, makeup artists, etc, have policies like not letting you see the hair until it's done, because you can straight up tell people exactly what is going to happen before then they get partway through and freak out. If you get your car fixed, do you sue the mechanic because you don't like the fact your car looks busted halfway through with parts missing?
