In this video I’m out in Dartmoor National Park in England, exploring and creating some images with the Fujifilm GFX100s. Over the course of two days, I experience everything that usually makes up a road trip, including a first day that was full of challenges and zero image-making, followed up by a second day that was the complete opposite. I also take some time to reflect on a few important lessons that I’ve learned after living and shooting here in England for the past two years.

Being UK based I find myself leaning towards B&W. There is so much green in this country, it's beautiful with my eyes but I struggle with with processing images. For example, Portra looks so good in the American West with all the desert and blues skies but it doesn't translate here for me, at least not for countryside/landscapes. Another great vid!

I can relate for sure! The greens are what seem to be the biggest issue for me with colour work.

There certainly is a lot of green! I tend to desaturate the greens and yellows sometimes during processing so they don't dominate the scene.

That’s what i found pro 400h best for when it was more available, deeper not so washed out greens. Maybe ektar would work a bit better for you for the added saturation and contrast, although most likely you’ll be stuck on a tripod if you want a reasonable DOF

Very inspirational and human. Beyond the outstanding production, I think you are really building something better and better in terms of content, talking about photography and beyond. It is simply one of the best channel I've seen on KZbin, no matter what the topic.

Ah, I know all of those places. Done a lot of hiking there. Don't know all of the names but nr sourton, north hessary and yes tor. It's a challenging place to take pictures of due to its bleakness and temperamental weather. I find but one of my favourites was a dawn shot taken on elite chrome at the same river you were on near yes tor.
