Mother Natalia is a ROCKSTAR! Seriously, it's an awesome grace to be able to crystalize emotional mess and turmoil and then reframe the spiritual concepts in the most practical terms... sometimes I feel certain concepts while understandable are out of reach because I don't see the links or steps to get there.

As a Catholic psychotherapist, I believe that God wants to heal and set us free so we can receive him fully and love others. Although we might struggle, there is always hope because He is continually transforming us. And this begins with trusting and knowing the depth of His love for us in all those messy and broken places.

When Mother Natalia said "I am just a terrible human being," it resonated with me bc I find myself saying similar things when confronted with my weaknesses and shortcomings. But now I say, "either I am awful at being human or just really good at it." It shifts my perception away from self condemnation and loathing.

I want to surrender my incapacitating depression and anxiety to Jesus. I cried today, begging to be healed, to not wish I were dead when I'm overcome with terror and hopeless all day, to be able to be a normal mother again. Lord, I need a miracle, I need to believe that I can be good, that I'm on broken and evil.

As a person suffering from OCD I can understand what you are going through. Know that your life is valuable to God regardless of whether you’re in sin or not. God never tires of forgiving us and this is because He loves us. He loves you so much that He desired to be with you even prior to laying the foundation of the world. You are loved and beautiful in Jesus' eyes.

@@thisgirl5933 Thank you for your specific prayer, I love when people specify how I can pray for them. Being a mother at 69yo, I realize I couldn’t be a normal mother when comparing myself to others or as society defined. I’ve learned I am imperfect and out of that wound have passed on to my children a cross. It’s the cross I bear, to see imperfection in myself and my children. To surrender this pride of my imagined perfection to Him has been so difficult and continues. This is who I am. The Lord in His tremendous mercy, will turn this into good for myself and my children…I must move out of the way.

@@thisgirl5933 when I was extremely sad at some point in the past, I prayed with a rosary. When I prayed the rosary, I cleared my mind and let the words process in my brain, did not think of anything else but the prayers from the Rosary. When my thoughts have been focused to praying, that was when I felt the calmness.

The prayer really comes in part from Don Dolindo, or a variation of it. He was a contemporary of Padre Pio.

My experience in overcoming is when I verbalize that I’m turning the issue over to the Lord and then I don’t pick it back up by trying to continue to solve the issue. I give it to him so I don’t “research it” I don’t ask professionals how to cure the issue…..

I believe Camus was seeing a priest towards the end of his life. Sometimes the more shallow philosophies can be the eagerly steps to God.

Judging people stops us from being patient with them. We need to be able to give up the judgments we make towards each person. This is possible. See Matthew 7:6… To correct someone we need their permission to do so. And we need to correct them with humility… Jesus said to not judge people see Matthew 7:1… we also need the plank to be remove from our eyes or consciences before we correct someone. We are allowed to judge between right and wrong… not to judge people made in God’s image. Giving our opinion on a person is judging. Giving my honest opinion on myself is truth telling. Truth telling uses I statements. Overcoming coveting, jealousy, and greed helps us also to be patient. Overcoming selfishness and envy helps us to become patient too. How to repent is possible in these instances.

I think Trump is like Napoleon, for better or worse. He loved being President, enough that after assassination attempts, allegations, etc, he wants to do it again. And he didn't look 20 years older at the end of his first term. Some people are built for positions like that. I think all 3 are/were brilliant men in their own right.

Why should I? If the almighty that loves me wants this painful situation in my life whatever you want to call it: illness, injustice, test, death, and if he wants he could resolve it then it means that is because he want it. If he wants it then is useless praying is useless to even think in god. God loves you, god is almighty, god allows pain for your good. You can't accept those three. Because pain is the most naturally rejectable thing for humans. Humans don't want their own good, they want to live without pain. Happiness was abandoned when god offered the Crux. And there is no rational argument to explain pain because embracing pain is irrational by itself.
