When the twist of Ellie being the real Argylle came up, I genuinely didn’t see it coming. After my surprise, my first thought was, “wait, if the books are just her memories and not her predicting events, then why is it so important that she writes the next chapter?”

Yes Apple spent $200 million to acquire it, but that was paying back Vaughn what his production company funded it for (this is supported by THR reporting that some sources say the film actually cost $250 million to make, different numbers wouldn’t be out there for simply a rights purchase)

Argyle is a superspy. But killed too early cuz guardian angel reasons. So sent back to earth as a cat to finish the spy mission. And maybe get closure on personal stuff. Cat does a back flip, breaks bad guy's neck and saves the day. Maybe villain is a Giraffe (the neck breaking!) because now that Argyle is a cat, movie morphs into all the people are animals. Interspecies romcoms are TIGHT. (Or loose. Depending.)

Amazing movie. Those two dance-fighting scenes are gorgeous. I re-watched the colorful smoke one multiple times. Just perfect. Please keep doing these Pitch Meetings because they are hilarious. I saw that and while I doubted very much that there's a part of the heart where you can be shot and be fine, even if you did and it was a through and through, I mean, holy crap, the dude still had a bullet go through his chest, through his heart, and exit out his back. As an amateur writer and lover of Henry 🥰. I really liked the movie. The smoke shoot-out was so pretty it made me happy lol. The skating scene was super super ridiculous and all I could focus on was how clean her knees were after kneeling in black oil. Too many plot swist but still entertaining. The heart shot was way too ridiculous as well.
