Been waiting for them for decades now, but as of this point I just want the Second Fighter Pass to end faster so I can just move on from the series as a whole and not delay the inevitable missing of the boat for Ultimate, barring any miracle aligning stars on them getting a playable spot. It says a lot when I get to play an unreleased GBC-build of Tomato Adventure before seeing Toad or Dixie Kong in Smash-series that isn't an NPC-spot.

This moveset is really cool! It feels really fresh compared to other movesets I've seen for Toad. I actually made a Captain Toad moveset myself a while ago; it was a bit of a challenge, but I was really happy with the outcome

I made one too! I about i was the only person out there who unprofessionally made smash concepts. His basics are based on mario3dworld and the rest are all based off treasure tracker. Just for fun toadette is toads echo fighter (since both of them are captains in treasure tracker)

This was an awesome Toad moveset concept! I've made one myself back in April and it incorporates a lot of the same ideas as those shown here. Glad to know there's a crowd cheering for Toad to get on the roster! Those little guys truly deserve a spot! Have you seen Level Up's "Smash Kingdom Mayhem"? The things Toad does in that video are amazing!

You know how Bayonetta, Diddy Kong, Greninja, Lucario, Sheik and Squirtle can cling onto walls? Well, in New Super Mario Bros. U, the flying squirrel suit you get from the Super Acorn allows you to cling onto walls, so Toad should use that to do so.

They could indeed replace the Toad in Peach's moveset with Toadsworth. I would also say replace Daisy's Toad with Toadette, but you already pegged her as an alternate costume for the playable Toad. (Also, they should replace Chrom in Robin's Final Smash with another party member from Fire Emblem Awakening. Seriously.)

Honestly this should happen, Toad, Geno and Waluigi would probably be the last recommended Mario series characters to be put into Smash. Anyone else added afterwards would probably be an obscure pick like Goomba or an Echo Fighter like Gooigi or Dry Bowser.

I think the final smash should be: Toad climbs up a ladder leading to a platform with a star. When toad reaches the top the platform starts to shake and it falls off the stage bringing Toad with it. But Toad doesn't lose a stock instead toad he will appear in the background riding draggadon as draggadon breaths fire on the stage. This is a reference to the draggadon boss as in Captain toad. Also toad should have the ground pound be his down air while the drill attack should only be for the up special.

For some of the earlier videos, I made a palutenas guidance, but it’s been a while since he’s made a for smash video for a character that I’m familiar with. Pit: I assume he’s going to tell me to go to another castle? Palutena: Focus, Pit. Toad may not look like much, but his attacks can do a lot of damage if you’re not careful. Especially after eating one of his special mushrooms. Pit: I thought that toad is a mushroom. Why is he eating other mushrooms? Palutena: That is a question better suited for Viridi. Pit: You’re probably right. Where is she, anyway? Palutena: Oh, she’s probably off somewhere, smiting a human village.

Neutral special- spear throw, it would focus on damage Side special- Kirby's beam wand utilizing waddle doo's beam It would focus on knockback Up special- waddle copter, he would spin his spear like a helicopter (yes that is what its called) down special- megaton punch (referencing his first appearance) it would be incredibly strong with super armour, but it would have lots of end lag

i like crusade's version of the side special he holds out a mushroom and as you hold the button, it goes from a single mushroom to a double to a triple and finally a gold mushroom and if the button is released, toad flies forward

I have another idea for his final smash. Chance time from Mario party. It could have like 5 results and each one does something different like hammer that spikes, a giant hand slap that makes them dizzy, a star loss that does normal knock back, etc. Toad would activate it in front of him and would have 5 seconds to stop the roulette

Who would replace Blue Toad in Daisy's moveset? I was thinking a Shy Guy, a Koopa or another common Mario enemy. Daisy has very little connection with those but then again she has very little connection with Toads either so it probably wouldn't matter.

For my idea for a final smash is that he would knock out a magikoopa, turns blocks back into regular toads(reference to super mario bros manual on the nes) then command them to attack the characters hit by it or he could slam down a bunch of giant poison mushrooms while he is in the air

Those are some cool specials! I’ve seen the Propeller Mushroom a lot, and it’s definitely what I would’ve done, but the Poison Mushroom I wouldn’t have even considered! and I’m glad you were able to give Toad the Vegetable down special without making it identical to Peach’s. However, I’m worried that giving Toad this “Cargo” ability takes away some of the uniqueness from Donkey Kong, you know? Like.... we’ve had 74+ characters on this Roster, and out of all of them, only DK has this ability, he stands out in this regard. Maybe it isn’t as big a deal as I’m making it out to be, but it’d be like if somebody else could Copy abilities the way Kirby can....

Good video! Really enjoyed the depth and details. One complaint: DEAR GOD THE HEAVY CARRY MECHANIC IS UNFAIRLY BUSTED. The unfair kills from picking up and freely running and jumping with an opponent would mean easy easy spikes, gimps, and general early deaths off stage.

Can you do Q*Bert for Smash? I just want him to be in so badly. He's quite obscure to the public, aside from Wreck-it Ralph and Pixels, he'd be a retro pick and a WTF pick at once, and he's technically a Sony rep, meaning that Sakurai can ask for him instead of the Playstation characters. I'd also imagine that his obscurity would make him a challenge to produce a fitting moveset. So, I'd like to see you try.
