Sheld Owned Those are usually Orcs. Besides, I've only seen that being the case in Lord of the Rings. Sauron tortured and did all sorts of nasty shit to elves that he captured to change them into what are known as Uruks in Lord of the Rings.

@@blakewalker94 Close. Sauron messed with Elves to create Orcs. Regarding the Uruk Hai, Saruman created those. It's not super clear from the book, but in some of Tolkien's drafts/notes, it's heavily implied that Uruk Hai are human/orc hybrids, with Extremely Dark implications about how that would work. Saruman was nasty. This is a year late, but my LOTR Knowledge Was Needed. Or not. But...yeah.
