Django is such a Legend of pool. Plays with a Jacoby cue, and a solid maple shaft with an Elkmaster tip. It just goes to show that all the hybrids, carbon, and low deflection is not necessary for a Champ! I love it. Next time let's see what my fellow Dane, Mickey Krause, has in his bag. Thanks for the video, Karlito🔥

Django is always someone to look up to. I know I did so many years ago now, 17, 18 years go now I believe it was in the 2000s when I first watched his matches in the 2002 WPC and the final with Strickland that mesmerized me. The clash of his fluency and creativity and Pearl´s killer instinct and pure shotmaking. My game got developed through imitating Busta and his stroke, him and Pearl two of the greatest of all time. And it is funny he doesn´t jump nowadays but back then he was one of the pioneers of the jump cue, the first wooden ones. Too bad he´s not on the circuit anymore, understandable but too bad, at least these bigger events. He could hold these guys no problem. Thank you.

@sheijinx5 күн бұрын
no just 1k
@jacobslemmer61685 күн бұрын
@@dzarren I like 2k or 3k. They are not really abrasive enough to remove wood, so you will not thin your shaft/ferrule over time. Grip firmly and move fast to quickly build up heat…the dirt,chalk, etc will get pushed out of the wood and can be wiped away off. Then hit it again for a nice burnish. No need to switch between grits or keep leather around for burnishing or anything. A single piece of 3000 is all you need

I find it unusual that he still uses powder and sandpaper…don’t forget- gloves are not new. My Filipino mentor 40 years ago tried to get me to use one…now it’s standard. I honestly didn’t think anyone would still be literally shaving their shaft down like l did with my first cue…
@anthonyvlogs01Күн бұрын
I still technically shave it down but I use a very light touch with 800 grit and then use that white bottle of shaft silk. Smooth glide every time.

@w1ngman056 күн бұрын
Not sure if the wood of the shaft and butt came from one piece of wood?
@michaeljohnnillo10386 күн бұрын
He's talking about the shaft. Predator shafts are popular here in the PH. But Django plays a one piece shaft meaning no splices.
@BK-fr1qo6 күн бұрын
Think he means standard maple shaft, not spliced like a predator shaft. The butt if clearly full splice from at least two types of wood so don't think he's talking about that.
@albertosamaniego24766 күн бұрын
For example mezz shafts are one piece shafts
@jacobslemmer61686 күн бұрын
@@michaeljohnnillo1038 I see. So can the standard solid maple shafts that are really whippy like his be low deflection? Just has to be a very well selected piece of maple blank and the right ferrule/tip materials, dimensions, etc?
