Your perspective is so realistic, true, and calming. Being with a newborn is challenging and requires a lot of self compassion. The pace of everything changes. The baby comes first.

I'm not Jewish. But I love your videos. I have learned so much about your faith that I didn't know. I still don't understand why some people don't like Jewish people. Even having a new born ( Thank you for letting us have a peak at your newborn) You still have a calming effect. Your right Newborn's come first. well all young children come first. and as a Mom you learn to work around there needs to get things done. I'm happy you feel up to getting back into the kitchen. What a awesome Mom you have to have brought Shabbat to you. Thank you for sharing. I always look forward to your videos. BUT you take your time and go at your pace .Don't be in a hurry we will be here.

Dearest child of God, I pray with all my heart that the Lord will always keep you, your family, and your beautiful precious newborn happy, healthy, and safe. I felt sadness in your voice tonight. Postpartum is never easy. Be patient and remember to also take care of yourself. May God bless you, protect you, and fill you with endless joy and strength. Love, Christine.

Dear Sonya - what a difficult time you have had although you make light of it. Please take care of yourself. With six children to look after it's a wonder you have time to make these videos at all. I'm not Jewish (though some of my ancestors on my mother's side were) but I love your channel. I am also one of nine children and my mother said once the youngest is school age, it does become more manageable. And though we do not share the same view of the situation in Palestine/Israel I see the comfort and security your faith gives you and the life you have built around it. It is admirable - there is so much love in it. Peace and justice to all.

Oh, how I miss the days when my babies were born! I think every mom says this, but it is true. Those days fly by so quickly, and before you realize it, they are all married and you shift gears to being a grandparent, which is also lovely. I so admire you, Sonya for being the closest woman that Proverbs describes as the ideal wife and Mother! May God bless you and your beautiful family!

As I have aged I have looked for shortcuts just for myself. I use a huge mug I put a variety of three sachets of herbal medicinal teas in. Always a ginger, an elderberry and a third a berry or citrus. I add a local area raw honey . I let it steep for at least 10-15 minutes, leave rhe bags in and sip on it. Only after I might have a coffee later in the day. Thank you for showing how planning and prepping ahead really pays off for the whole family. Shalom.
