I made this and it was a big hit with everyone. I added green chilli and at the end went off piste a bit as I had some tahini in the fridge and I poured it over the dish. I had some potatoes left over and it was just as good at room temperature. I’ll definitely be making this again both as a tasty side dish or to take to work as a fulfilling vegetarian lunch. Yes of course. She roasted it herself at home but you can buy readymade ones. Just make sure that you keep an eye on the salt in over all dish if it is salted.

Hmm there isn't really a substitute that has a similar flavour in my opinion but I'm not Chetna 😂- I think you could skip them but they do add some lovely flavour if you can get them. Some websites suggest bay leaves but I don't feel like they are similar in flavour at all!

@@sunflowerbaby1853 they come from the supplier I use in three small poly bags. I just put all three in a slightly larger ziplock and freeze. The leaves are quite robust, but just make sure they don’t get crushed when frozen as they’re quite brittle.
