Hi Marie, I just discovered your videos. I believe that you are the “Mr. Roberts” of clay world. You speak slowly and distinctly. That is a blessing for this 83 year old with hearing aids. I am especially interested in the glaze combinations that you presented in this video and wondered if you could make a video of several other glaze combinations that you have shown at the conclusion of some of your other videos? You can call it 21 glaze combinations. Thank you for doing these.

Thanks for your advice Marie. today I finally got my pots above 7 inches , so I completed the vase. Its a little lopsided but thats OK, my aim was height. I am so chuffed!! Your projects have definitely improved my skills. Ive now complted 29 of your 30 projects, Just the chapstick bowl to go!!

Whenever I pull up the walls I start near the bottom right corner but the clay keeps forcing my hand to the top and it starts feeling dry within 2 seconds. It's like the clay is trying to push my hand out of the way or something

Hi Melissa. Did you try using a sponge on the outside? As you notice I'm using a thin sponge to help keep the clay moist. Like training wheels. Yes, the clay will control you if you don't control it. How fast is your wheel going? try going faster and push inward as your hand inside is just guiding. Keep your fingers steady as you move the clay and keep practicing to get the feel of the clay 👍 I hope this help😊

Great Video, as always. Im strughling to get height into my pots atm, how tall is your vase please? It'll give me something to aim for.

Thank you, Cariad. It's always nice to hear from you. That one was one 8 inches. If you like to throw with really smooth clay, height will be a challenge. You can get more height from clay with grog, but it may feel like you are throwing with sandpaper. 🤗😀

@@PotteryCrafters Thank you Marie, yes the clay Im using is smooth. Is there any way around this? I can't afford to get grogged clay yet as Ive just bought 25Kg of smooth and will have to use that first !! I just watched your 10K subscription I am also dyslexic and am a retired dyslexia specialist teacher. Many dyslexics are creative. You are an inspiration to others.

Thank you so much, Cariad. I enjoy helping others on their pottery crafting journey. I hate working with grog on the wheel, so I will set my piece aside for a little bit, let the clay harden a bit (not too much) Then continue to throw for more height. You could give that a try. Thank you for sharing. As you know, some have it worse than others. Unfortunately, I have it worse. The funny thing is I can never spell dyslexic or dyslexia. Like, it's a cruel joke on dyslexics. Thank goodness for spell check.😊

@@PotteryCrafters I fully understand your situation, 2of my children also have dyslexia, my son has it bad too. You clearly have good coping strategies as you are well organised in your videos. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed doing your projects I have 3/30 left to do then I intend to do your other projects. I will try the drying the pots a bit to see if I can get past the 5 inch mark 😄

Wonderful 😍Thank you, Cariad. As you know, the key is to stay positive and never give up. I struggle with spelling and writing but never give up. 😊Thanks for helping to make the world a better place, and keep making that beautiful pottery.

I'm still trying number 18. I'm going to trimming today. If I succeed I will be number 20 and then I will do that. So I'm not watching now. I have only Casserole dish in my mind. I am also such a strange follower😂😂
