Also were is the part that we dont have to rely on these large companies that buy donations from the government? We can raise and hunt our own meat, and we can grow our own vegetables. I would add that any bit of cutting down helps. Life isn't black or white. Better is better than giving up entirely. Beef and dairy is by far the worst for the environment. Small fish would probably be one of the better ones if you have any, and are one of the most nutritious if you worry about that. I switched from keto to while foods plant based recently after finding out I was being manipulated by the keto cult in the same ways she talks about here..

I like your red hair, your accent and your intelligence. Thank you for this video, I can see that you care about people. I had to go Vegan (pescatarian, I still eat wild caught fish), because eating red meat literally jacked up my cholesterol and made me feel like total crap every single day. I ate butter, I ate egg yolks but that saturated fat ( possibly the cholesterol too), was killing me. Now I keep my saturated fat under 5 to 10 grams a day, I go as low as I can and I primarily eat cabbage, beans, onions, egg whites, tofu, I even drink soy milk. I make my own bread out of Einkorn flour because I do not trust American hybridized wheat. I won't eat corn. You can't buy a cookie or a baked good in an American grocery store without it containing Cottonseed, Canola, Soybean or Palm Oil, High Fructose Corn Syrup or even GLUCOSE SYRUP! It's insidious how these companies are killing people, it's evil. Cheese, I had to give up cheese. Still eat no salt added cottage cheese, but never more than 1/2 a cup a day. (2 grams saturated fat per half cup 1% milkfat). Had to give up the red meat, totally gave it up. It just wasn't worth it to me to ruin my health over a hamburger.

You're doing pretty well! Also search "Real Truth About Health Fish" to learn from various docs about why fish isn't good for us, even if it's wild caught!

You aren't vegan by any means. Just say you are a pescatarian for your health. And if red meat was healthy and companies weren't lying you would kept continuing doing it despite the fact that it would have costed an innocent sentient being their whole life along with unimaginable suffering they go through daily and i would even say they are way better than us human animals in case you consider non-human animals objects or your imaginary superiority(as most carnists think) over them gives you some right to subject them to life of pain .

I have a theory. I think the healthiest food in the world is the so called TRADITIONAL food. I wished scientists and doctors focused more on traditional food. 1. Traditional food was created or invented usually in times of hunger, poverty, crisis, war, plague, disease, etc. Traditional food is survival food, the food that stood the test of time, the food that allowed entire populations to survive periods of hunger. So traditional food needs to be healthy, nutritious, cheap and abundant, based on local ingredients. 2. But traditional food usually can taste very bad, sometimes being outright vile and repugnant. Most countries in the world usually have some kind of traditional food. In times of plenty most people tend to underestimate, look down, dismiss or even despise traditional food because it doesn't taste good. But that is really a big mistake, because that is the food that humanity needs to rely on in times of hunger, and also to remain healthy. So it is really important to keep and preserve traditional food, no matter how bad that food may be. In Sweden there is a fermented fish called surströmming, that is considered by many to be the stinkiest food in the world. How is it possible that people eat such a thing? But surströmming has existed for hundreds of years, is nutritious, healthy and cheap. And most certainly it was invented by starving people in times of hunger and poverty. Many people make fun of surströmming because of its foul smell, but very few people seem to realize that surströmming is a super-food that literally saved entire populations from hunger. 3. The biggest problem about traditional food is that it may difficult to replicate in other countries, because it may not taste good and the ingredients may not be as cheap or abundant in different regions or countries. For example it is often said that olive oil is healthy, but olive oil can be very expensive outside Europe. Japanese traditional food uses no olive oil at all. 4. It is ironic that unhealthy food is only available in times of plenty, while in times of hunger the only food available is traditional food. So the richer the country, the more unhealthy the diet becomes. A poor person on the other hand needs to eat healthy food, otherwise he won't survive. So paradoxically, the poorer the person, the healthier the diet, because a poor person simply can not afford to eat unhealthy food. While traditional food is based on local, cheap, abundant ingredients, unhealthy food is usually based on expensive, imported, exotic ingredients. While older generations try to encourage traditional food, younger generations tend to despise traditional food and prefer modern, expensive, unhealthy food. 5. The United States unfortunately does not have a firmly established traditional food, simply because the country is relatively young and has not suffered any major war or disaster or famine or disease. So most of its diet is based on European culture, which may not be the most appropriate for the region. In my opinion the US should look into native American culture, because they probably have a very strong traditional food culture most appropriate for the local conditions.

@@davidr1431 I do campaign for it to end. By campaigning for veganism. We use 83% of global farmland and the entire ocean to obtain 18% of our calories via animal foods. If we sign a global plant based treaty, we would immediately be able to reduce total farmland by 76% or more (see the EAT Lancet report for the UN). Food would be more readily available to the poor since we wouldn't be fattening 92 billion animals, and we could easily de-intensify the already much more efficient plant farming operations by using nature-friendly techniques. I'm an advocate of biodiverse permaculture food forests that use no pesticides, herbicides, tilling, or other harmful practices. That's only possible if we stop wasting so much space and resources for the animal holocaust.

@@davidr1431 Yes, in an ideal world, all food would be grown locally in biodiverse permaculture food forests. However, don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good, as local beef is still 200 times less efficient than beans grown on the other side of the world. We have to feed farmed animals 9-100 calories of plant foods to obtain one calorie of meat. Thus, the most important and least destructive option will always be to choose plants. The second consideration is what kinds of plants and where they came from. If we end animal agriculture, mono cropping will disappear because it's harmful and unnecessary. If we keep eating animals, we will disappear in a matter of decades, but mono crops won't be going anywhere until all food production ceases to be possible.

Can you please do a video addressing the Harvard Doctor who has said that meat is essential for good mental health? I'm so frustrated right now, be good to have a video debunking this crap.

This woman seems nice but she's not. She's gleefully telling this audience of rapt consumers how she and her industry are lying to them. The food industry, especially marketers, are not our friends. Do yourselves a favor. Do your shopping in the produce aisle. Eschew meat, dairy and eggs. You'll live longer and healthier lives.

So important to be aware and move towards plant-based food. Systemised cruelty is not acceptable and only continues because people are careless and look the other way. Shameful.

Where is the part of this video that shows the animals and pollinators killed by chemicals and more for vegetable farms? Did i miss that? Also were is the part that we dont have to rely on these large companies that buy donations from the government? We can raise and hunt our own meat, and we can grow our own vegetables. There is a very similar video that explains all this on the opposite side
