Your video testimonials at the end are nothing short of inspiring. My personal goal for myself and my wonderful pup is to become the best trainer I can be so that he can become the incredible dog I know he can be. I may have limitations but I am already feeling more confident about a really positive outcome. Thank you, Nate.

My brother is getting a dog and i immediately told him to look you up on KZbin cause your videos are literally the only ones I look at when it comes to teaching a new command. Especially since you already have the videos in a playlist which made it so much easier for me and now…. Him (as soon as he picks the puppy up)

@@NateSchoemer I actually followed your advice (kinda) I have a friend that her dog is not very well trained and I offer to train him since I think I can get him to stop doing a few bad behaviors. He is 2yrs old so I won't say I'm a little skeptical but confident enough to try it.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate that. After this series, I'll be starting a new series on how to start a successful dog training business. I'll be looking for other dog trainers to interview. If you think you may be interested, send me an email and let me know. It won't be for a while though, as we still have a lot to do with this series. Thanks! NateSchoemer@gmail.com Cheers!

Hey Nate, great and informative video. You touched on the question I had a few weeks back about becoming a trainer. I guess it would be easier to try it with friends dogs before seeing if it's something to actually get into. Even if that wasn't the message I kinda looked at it that way. Oh, and the production of your videos are awesome! Great job!

I'd love to be able to take mine to a kid's playground to train but we aren't allowed to have dogs in a playground area unfortunately. We just improvise wherever we go. Nothing like variety to keep them interested and build confidence. 🙂 I know I've said it before but I love your videos - there is always something to be gained by hearing your training thoughts and ideas. Thanks. 👍

Hey Nate. I'm interested in the shepherd type dogs. Want a good one for the family(6&3 yr old) I'm studying up on your material and getting confident about training. But a dog that is easiest to train and great with kids is what is want. GSD, Mal, or Dutchie? What do you recommend? Thank you.

In this video you said you do two sessions per day per dog. But you also said as many reps as possible. Is that “as many reps as possible within each session?” Or are these two different scenarios? Thanks!
@NateSchoemer
@NateSchoemer Жыл бұрын
On average, I’ll do two sessions a day with most dogs I train. However, if you have more time and the dog can do more sessions without being overwhelmed, then that’s great. The reps could be referring to the reps per session. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for commenting. Cheers!

I’m teaching my puppy luring, she’s 10 weeks old, I don’t know when to start name in the command?
@NateSchoemer
@NateSchoemer 2 жыл бұрын
Once we have our dog performing the action the way that we like with our physical cue, it is then time to give the behavior a command. The command can be physical or verbal. In order for your dog to learn the command, you must say or perform the command ONCE and then show your dog the physical cue. Don’t make the mistake of repeating the command or saying something like “good sit” after the dog is already sitting, which can send mixed signals to a dog that is already sitting.
