Based on his coordination with the pull here, he'd get pretty damn good pretty damn fast. Problem for Tom would be that weightlifting is really time consuming to train and he's way too busy for it.

Even with a prop, i could never be that explosive
@RenaxTM915 жыл бұрын
I'm actually more impressed at the way he did it first, you try lifting just the bar overhead on almost straight arms that slow. The explosiveness is great, but for such pretty low weights thats more technique than strenght, I've seen 50kg women do that..
@Septoneien5 жыл бұрын
Renax the Man I mean .... 45 to 55 pounds with both arms ... if we are talking just the bar lol..if that would impress you then you must be easy to get along with. With weight on there I understand that one would be impressed but hopefully not just the bar.

@AfferbeckBeats5 жыл бұрын
Crazy that Tom is getting the hard part of both lifts down so well: the pull - keeping the bar close, sending it vertically without banging it forward. That stuff takes a good while for most people to get the hang of, not in a few reps like Tom here. Some people lift for years and don't have that close and straight of a pull. I would guess his tricking and flipping has really carried over to being able to automatically figure that stuff out. Even those few jerks weren't bad - maintaining the front rack, doing the dip and drive, figuring out the footwork, and securing it overhead is a really akward thing to figure out. He's most limited by his overhead position, elbows and shoulders not wanting to lock and internally rotate, giving him no stability or confidence overhead. I think that would mostly improve with practise and some targeted mobility if need be.
@germanrud99045 жыл бұрын
i think in the age of hunched shoulders most people will have the same issues regarding overhead stability

I feel like if Tom warmed up his shoulders more thoroughly he would have done even better, either way nice job man.
@AfferbeckBeats5 жыл бұрын
Yeah some shoulder dislocates with a band and generally grooving around with the bar overhead for a bit would probably have helped a lot. Unless he did thoroughly warmup his shoulders and his mobility is pretty bad.
