Once and again. Delays are good sign because the producer is allowing it to the studio to finish the episode properly at least. Some producers won't allow to the studio to delay the episodes to finish it and there's quiet a lot of examples. Yes, it's mainly a bad thing but everything has pros and cons. And I talked about good side. I'm taking as an artist pov, giving time to artist is one of the best gift, I can see and feel the dissapoitiment of so many artist every day begin sad because they had no time and producer didn't gave time, sometimes or many very often happens that artist sacrifice their work to finish and help other artist works.

Not exactly, delays are a sign of poor production and planning and the final product usually shows that. Unless the delay is scheduled or planned beforehand its never really a good sign.

Nah limit on number of anime they can take in a season will impact their earning. Also example Mappa studio might produce super high quality with X number of people while JC staff might go for slightly normal quality with lesser people required. There is also difference in level of skill required and their pay difference for animator. The main issue is they are getting paid badly, considering anime getting mainstream. They need to come up with ways for better earning, hire way more animators, be it local or more freelancers to sustain the number of anime they doing.

Bete and Allen facing off not so damn still. Aisha going into a murderous rage. So much I wanted to see animated. Chloe wanting to go after Bell's butt. Ok, they probably couldn't show that part.

In today’s environment delayed episodes is like a death sentence. Sure they can come but who would care other than hardcore viewers? Just look at 86, s1 got delayed to hell and there still isn’t a s2 because of how terrible the production was for the first season.

Some shows bounce back stronger after delays, look at AOT or any popular anime that got delayed in 2020. Consistency and quality often win over time, even if it means a wait. Sure it might not get talked about much when it comes back but does it ruin the enjoyment as a fan?

They do not have a license for an anime and would need to acquire one, or spend money on a writer to make an original. Even if they get 10 million views, making an anime takes about 150k an episode, in short most anime are not profitable, even more so if it’s on KZbin.

Maou 2099 was a total sleeper hit this szn. Ngl it looked generic as hell at first glance but I gave it a try and it's genuinely a really good story that's just so entertaining. Things like why Ais didnt join the War Game, the item Royman gave Finn, etc are very important towards the story and thats not even half of what they cut out. I think that the delay is so long mainly because they have to book the TV time slot and they couldn't find an earlier date. Sadly TV time slots are what dictates the crunch of anime productions most of the time because it has to be booked in advance. When studios run into production issues they choose to rush the product rather than pay the TV company for another time slot because as we see the new air date is often pushed back way further than it needs to be and ruins the hype for the show. It's hard to find a free time slot on a short notice simply because everything else around it is already booked as well.

Delays will not kill this one even with others coming out. The episodes coming out are going to showcase some great content. The changes are not much. The issue this series has is rooted in the side novel having Ais story in it and the info needed to round out the familia dynamics. The hints in the side story really needed to be put into the main story in someway.

I just don't get why people make a big deal out of "PNG Lock". This is just my opinion but for example you can have the best animation, well written characters, a battle system that is coehesive and easy to understand but if the story is lack luster then it brings down the series as a whole. With Blue Lock it makes up for it with a well written story even though it is a sports anime. I think what made Blue Lock popular in the first place was not the animation and sure in S1 it had that standard but it was the edge that competitive nature that fleshes out the characters in a realistic setting and brings out their full potential and combined with the hype moments up until the last episode of S2, I just think that despite the low effort animation at times the story is what makes me keep watching Blue Lock.

Even the people working on it said that they had half of the animation done but they did not meet deadlines that is why it was scrapped and exchanged for the PNG effects. The reason it is talked about is because we don't want to forget about it too soon. So that the quality of there shows don't become lazy/drop. It's not about the show. It's about the production. Btw. The manga is really goosebump inducing and I am fully caught up. So yes that is why.

If you consider this series, this is the studio's best work ongoing. In the time they've done DanMachi, it has had their best quality in terms of visuals. Last season was 22 episodes, they split it into two cours. They announced it was going to have 15 episodes which is above the normal 1-cour season. This one also has material to go back on & watch while you wait for the hiatus to end. Also going by light novel publishing news, there may be only two or three more seasons.

The AniP for the show Suzuki Kaoru ( 鈴木薫) has worked on 2 other shows with more than 24 eps and combined 3 shows, including danmachi just this year alone. Production melt was going to happen regardless. Idk if J.C staff will try and fix anything since they have been doing this since the late 90s

0:30 we indeed have been here before. Before 86 and Nier Automata, we have God Eater where episode 9 and up was aired a year later (this is Ufotable btw) and Kekkai Sensen (Block Blockade Battlefront) where the final episode was delayed for half a year I think. FWIW both ended up being pretty good, but Kekkai Sensen was remembered because it had banger OP and ED (the ED is a genre in of itself) and a second season, while no one I know remembered the God Eater anime.

I've never seen Danmachi, but after seeing a figure of Hestia a week ago, I've been considering in checking it out lately. Also, I didn't realize just how big OLM, Cloverworks, A-1, & White Fox are compared to J.C Staff & I know A-1 just bought the studio that did AGGO. And not to go off topic with the video, I'm assuming Sonic 3 didn't do good over in Japan? I see that trend about Sonic struggling in Japan.

Danmachi is pretty good. Its definitely in that overlord/rezero/slime/shield hero(at least the first season) catagory. It pretty much maintains its quality throughout the series. Season 2 is a bit hit or miss but overall its always the same, which is apreciated.

it is even worse, In this season J.C Staff is doing 11 Shows. the only positive thing i can say is that compare to the hell that was there summer 2019 (with 5 shows and 1 movie) at least this time around the animation has not been bad. But the shows they have right now are from the summer season that was more then 1 cour. - Fairy Tail The 100 Year Quest. - 2.5D Seduction (which is getting a season 2) - Delico's Nursery and from this season they have these 8 shows - Danmachi Season 5. - Demon Lord 2099 - The Do-Over Damsel - Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. (which is getting a season 2) - The Stories of Girls Who Couldn't Be Magicians - Murai in Love. - Duel Masters LOST Part 1 (which i am so mad is not getting translated because oh boy it could have been a game changer for card game animes) - Duel Masters LOST Part 2

It was really apparent the last episode that aired, which was postponed a week. They cut a lot of edges, while still looked good enough. Also, last 4 episodes of Demon Lord 2099, the faces changed in every cut😂 shit was so funny

Considering how clean season 5 looks, I'm glad they decided to delay it instead of rushing. I'm confident they'll do a good job with the remaining 5 or so episodes and I don't mind waiting at all. We're talking about a show that had its 1st season like 10 years ago. Whoever watched until now, will certainly finish watching season 5. This situation is very difference from the likes of Nier Automata that got delayed halfway through the very first season.

why is the animation of anime getting worse nowadays . it looks higher res but the details are so much worse anime styles like death note original bleach hitman reborn original naruto look so much better especially in fight scenes where the ground actual retains its detail . then you have anime like one piece where as soon as a fight scene starts suddenly the ground becomes low details and loses all its texture and the prevalence of this block destruction style is so bad my hero academia and other also fall victim to this

I don’t think MHA has fallen prey to it yet. The animation seems to have gotten better in season 7. Hopefully they keep it up for season 8.

As far as i know they outsource the frame animations to south easr Asia or China. With danmachi the outsource studio must have shut down unexpectedly or something. The quality eas consistent throughout the last episodes, as well. Can't wait for how this arc finishes

This hurts my heart to see, I’m watching regardless of time but i bet a lot of people will drop this just because they think it ended. This series first comes off as normal fantasy but there is an insane amount of lore and thought that goes into the characters and world. Once you get past the first two seasons the show feels different it feels much more mature. Like how bell matures and grows the show follows pace

I'm truly tiered of the endless amount of new anime series at the expense of almost all of them never being completed any more due to over saturation and churn. I wish to heck they would just focus on finishing them off before finding the next shiny anime to help folks loose interest in a series due to it often taking 2 to 3 years before the studios get around to making the next session of a show. It's beyond disgraceful and it's not financially sound either.

Danmachi is one of the very few anime I care about & look forward to anymore.. at this point they might as well just make it a whole other 10 or 12 episodes now. I'll be honest...I don't mind, because my backlog is so crazy, I've got anime series on my "to watch" list going back to 2015, with only a handful of ongoing anime series I watch regularly (Detective Conan every Saturday, my weekly routine for years). I don't even remember which season of Danmachi I left off at. I blame my adult responsibilities and ADHD.
