I see most of the treatments to knee pain are knee area strengthening...yup, I have been doing this for the past 6 months and my knees could not feel better.....you just have to dedicate yourself to regular exercises and they will be life changing.....it worked for me

A brilliant Exposition on pain in the knee(s).This is the 1st video I've seen, which clearly demonstrates the several different issues with knee pain. They all talk about 'Meniscus' problems to the exclusion of all other possible problems. As a result of this video, I now know which one is causing my problem. Thank you 👍😊

Those videos must have cost the predatory health billing system millions in vague early exploratory consultations. Bravo! Too often people go to the Dr and because they have no idea about their own physiology can't describe coherently where they have pain and never end up with any concrete diagnosis or require loads of expensive additional exams to try and get additional information.

Thank you for your very interesting and informative video Sir. I am watching it while waiting to see an orthopaedic surgeon this afternoon as my knee collapsed some 6 weeks ago and is unstable and unable to bear wait. It is suspected that I have ruptured my ACL and/or MCL. I bave myelomengocele so of course I aleady have underlying weakness and in fact my other ACL ruptured some years ago and required reconstruction. Only a couple of hours now before I know the resulrs of my MRI and the resulting decision about treatment. Blessings and peace from UK

Wow! I was recently terminated from my job after my knee 'injury', because they felt I was unable to perform my job duties, of course did not happen at work... but while awaiting my MRI I've been putting in my due diligence and researching possible causes. I would describe my symptoms 1st as a burning sensation in the inner/ lower portion of the knee, more recently becoming very painful to even walk. This video brought back memories I'd forgotten about having very high arches and years ago being told I had collapsing arches! I completely forgot all about it. I'm 55 and should be wearing good arch support shoes. Chiropractor told me 'don't compensate for what good shoes should be doing for you', as in buying arch supports for dumb shoes. Here I am quoting him after completely forgetting about this issue from more than...20 yrs ago? Thanks Prof Bellemans, I will take this information and proceed with knowledge!

10 mos. ago I injured my knee by slamming it down twice really hard, putting something in the ground. MRI showed complex meniscus tear, Baker's cyst, bone contusion & loose bodies. 6 mos. later I had surgery a partial meniscectomy & loose body removal. 4 mos. later it's better, but, still hurts. 3 wks. ago I hurt the other knee. I somehow twisted or put a lot of strain on the knee getting up from a low bench.. Extreme pain at times. 10/10. No arthritis in either knee, my DR was surprised, no swelling either time. I have not been to my ortho about this yet. My knee hurts in ALL the places you mentioned. I don't think it's the meniscus. Is there such a thing as all over pain? I am in denial as I cannot accept another injury, as I'm still dealing w/my first one. I've had it. I enjoyed the info, but, watched your video trying to figure out which section my pain is in. I say All of the Above.

This information is heartbreaking and shortsighted. Not once was it contemplated that the root cause could be knotted muscles in the quad, calf, or hamstring which stretching and strengthening is unlikely to solve. The site of pain is certainly not always where the problem began.

@jannekedevries12474 күн бұрын
The only heartbreaking & short sighted information is this comment... it is the perspective of an authority of orthopaedic surgery to meet the need for clarity with these complex problems. surely there is more to say about it and your contemplation might be of additional value, it is absolutely no reason to defile someones contribution with a negative reaction like that. You just want to bring in another perspective for more completeness. In my opinion, your perspective occludes the crystal clear clarity this prof provides us.

Looks like the area of the inner lower right side of the left knee pain I've been experiencing and reviewing my previous doctor and surgeon notes were correct in that I just needed to strengthen it again as I've been very sedentary for the last few years truthfully. I got hurt during a Amazon delivery driver job where all the up down movement day in and day out result in one day me putting my foot flat on the ground walking back to my vehicle and then suddenly I was in very high pain where I couldn't move my left leg. It's not the first time I've dislocated my knee, it was my other one as a kid growing up playing sports and recovered with physical therapy. As an adult, I can't even afford to have physical therapy or get surgery let alone see a doctor so this really helps me holistically figure out how to self heal on my own. I've mostly recovered and I'd say by this time next year I'll be able to do all of the normal things I did in the past making it a 2 year recovery period in total as I'm mostly but not all the way able to do things like walking downstairs normally, especially with weight and extending it in a seated position.

Well I have all the stuff years ago had a severe accident and a patella luxatie, now years later it’s getting worse I always have done exercises, it helped a lot. There are some things I may not do like jumping, biking and running, an operation is not an option because there is too much gone, a new knee replacement is not possible because there is not enough to keep it in place 😢😢😢

Thank you. I had an impact trip and fall on concrete 3.5 years ago. I think I was incorrectly diagnosed as X-rays showed no breakage. I did six weeks of uninformed general strengthening, which led to me discontinuing treatment when exercises continued to cause pain. After six weeks, I was expecting some results. I lost 50 lbs, and at a very reasonable weight for my height. I still have knee pain, and take Pilates once a week to strengthen my core and legs. I don’t know what to ask if I go back to an Orthopedic doctor, but, I will study this video and try to pinpoint my pain so I will be able to discuss my pain and triggers with a new doctor. Squats have been very difficult where there was none before, even though I was overweight. Hopefully I at least have a tool to use to communicate what I need. Thanks again.

I have been in severe pain for two years and finally went in. I was given a steroid injection. I had exactly one week of any relief and now it’s been a month and I’m back in exactly the same horrible pain. I can not see how cortisone is going to remotely fix my knee. I could really use some help diagnosing what part of my knee is hurting. I have extreme pain when I bend my knee past 110° roughly(like sitting cross legged or squating deep) I also have pain if i over stretch -1° or further(i can go pretty far on my other leg). Very rarely my knee buckles a little backwards and it clicks sometimes when i turn sideways. It was caused by a sharp turn(not too much pressure or speed) when skiing, i did hear a pop when it happened too but was able to ski fine after for a week. It did swell a lot though.

So 99% of the time I'm fine and pain-free but all of a sudden I'd feel this awful stabing pain just behind my patella. I've noticed it happens mostly when I'm climbing upstairs or when I'm standing (typically when I'm quying at the supermarket cash point, or at the bank). I'm fine with walking and so on but I have sometimes (once or twice a day) this awful stabing pain and I dont know what to do about it. I'll try those exercices but I have absolutely no pain at the moment. I'm asking here for the just in case one fellow youtuber could enlighten me about what it is ..

#4: ligaments connect bones, tendons connect muscle to bone. So, technically it’s not a patellar tendon, it is the patellar ligament.
