Sir, I have a question, if BiP, calnexin and calreticulin act as quality control checkers, (they check whether the protein is properly folded or not), then who actually does the job of "folding" the protein?

Quality control mechanism ensure it gets refolded and if it is not possible then the protein is chosen for degradation

To be packed into transport vesicles that will eventually bud from the ER 2. To be exported from the ER to cytosol where it will be degraded 3. To be exported from the ER to cytosol where it will fold properly 4. To be degrade in the ER lumen
