Do you have an opinion on maximum amount of protein one should consume in a sitting? Can you eat so much protein at once that some of it gets “wasted”?

in theory, yes. But you’d really have to eat a ton for that to be a legit concern imo. The max amount will be different person to person, but a general rule of thumb is trying to spread out your protein throughout the day as best as possible so your body can absorb and use it at a consistent rate
