In the Puppy Press Handstand, we float into a handstand with one foot lifted up to tilt our pelvis in order to float the standing leg up. Building active compression, hamstring flexibility, deep core strength, shoulder mobility and wrist mobility are essential pillars to learning Press Handstands.

In some of your tutorials for pressing movements, you recommend turning the toes in when starting the set up for the press. What is the advantage of doing this? Sometimes it's these little cues and details that can make just that bit of difference to get the movement. Thank you for your great vids!

Good question. It creates more compression. This action is relevant to straddle and puppy presses primarily as it makes the movement more available. Once the legs are up and leveled with the hips, externally rotate the hips!
