Ready to Puppy Press?! I think it's the best press to begin with. It allows some lower leg drag so you don't feel like you'll fall over. The bent leg gives you core engagement. And it's doable in all inversions!
Maybe have 2 blocks at least. But I do think an exercise ball or wheel and ankle weights are really helpful too. Make it easier to FEEL the success. And make it FEEL harder to gain strength a bit faster.
