Being a kid/teen in the early 2000s was brutal for bellies. Cried tears of gratitude as I acknowledged all my belly has done for me. Its very difficult to undo the conditioning of self-hatred, but practices like these are so so helpful for me. Here’s to the bellies of all shapes and sizes! May we shower them with love and gratitude!

doing this on february 3, 2024 instead of the “scheduled” practice, and wow, THANK YOU. thank you to myself for showing up, following the breath, and for observing thoughts instead of judging them. thank you to adriene and benji and team for making it possible with these amazing free videos! and thank you to yoga, for uniting everyone and everything. i am most definitely slipped into a state of gratitude, teary eyed at the end of this session because yoga really does go so much deeper than “just the poses.” i never thought i would be on this journey when starting yoga. needed this gentle yin session, a nice change of pace and another reminder that balance is key! ❤

I broke down into tears about halfway through this one. I’ve been following your channel for 3-4 years, practicing regularly until this last year. It has been the hardest time of my life, I let myself get so far from who I am and who I want to be, and I am still dealing with a good amount of self hatred. I have been through a lot lately and I have cried nearly every day for one reason or another, but today’s tears felt different. They felt like they were symbolic of compassion for myself in response to taking the time to check in today. Maybe it’s the first step to self loving kindness, I have always struggled with that. Thank you Adrienne

This felt really nice. One thing I'm noticing: my old toxic thinking is creeping up, I have this nagging feeling that I should be doing more, something more active. And the wonderful thing is that it's okay. I know it's just an old habit, a thought I had thousands of times, it's likely to show up once and again. It doesn't mean anything other than it being an old habit. I don't have to do something with it. I know I am not the thought. I can simply see it and send it back again. I will be okay. I already am okay. Thank you, Adriene.

hi Adrienne, I am from Sudan, currently going through war, my house was bombed and we had to evacuate my city.. currently living but only that. I don't know what happens next, in my life, my plans, what happens to my dear country, all the memories in my house .. and more.. Denial was my friend, up to the point where we relocated to a safer place and ever since then I have been in a psychological state that I couldn't understand, but it is fair to say that I am depressed. this practice made me get in touch with myself again, the breaths I took slowly pumped life into my stiff muscles and joints.. and I am so so grateful and will always be thankful. please pray for my country, and most importantly.. the people of my country. I cried during this practice, I saw myself with lots of wounds. I was born with some of them. I felt with every breath I take some of them going to hurt less and less and less. I decided i'll keep breathing until they all disapear some day. I also had a little bit of help. Before I came on the mat I sat under the generous Sun for 40 min. ☉ Thank you Adrien.

I've been practicing yoga for like 7 years and I clearly remember that I cried only 2-3 times during meditations after yoga practices. I was overwhelmed with such a tension that I was storing in my body for approximately 5 years (since the divorce process of my parents and mental abuse that I've been feeling 24/7), so my body just finally started letting go all the pain and tension. Yoga saved my life, it helped me during the most terrible periods of my life, it gave me so much power and belief that everything's gonna be okay some day. And here I am today - practicing this session after 3 months of break (I'm suffering with depression and self-hate, but thank god I started therapy) I decided to give it a try and see how my body will respond on this sequence, the gentle, opening one. Today was mentally hard and awful day and I thought yoga must help me. It really did. For the first time in my life I cried during doing yoga.. Cause, essentially, the whole video is about letting go (heart opener), and I just couldn't finish the video, I stopped in the middle, cause all the pain and guilt and etc started choking me inside. I didn't expect that at all. Now I understand that this is the part of my healing journey and a part of the process that I'm going through in my therapy. I am really thankful that such thing as *yoga* exists and I will come back to it sooner or later. I just need some time to relax. If everyone is dealing with the same type of reaction - I understand you & I believe in you. You will get through and you *will* be happy. So will I.

🎉Wow I had the biggest deepest most restorative breath I can remember taking. ❤ I have been doing yoga for over 25 years so this practice today means a lot to me and is very helpful on the healing mind and body journey I am on. It’s an empowering gift to work on improving my painful health condition at home. It gives me a lot of hope to know I can experience the peacefulness of yoga whenever I need. Yoga with Adrienne is particularly helpful for me because I need to calm voice and instructions engage with my body and mind. I noticed yesterday I was holding tension in my legs through the day even when I thought I was relaxing and sewing.

Particularly pleased as Adrienne had stopped saying Namaste in the last ones I did in January, and I wasn't terribly pleased about that as it makes my day as it makes me think of Mother Teresa who I said Namaste to many years ago when I helped out for a while at one of her centres in Calcutta.

I thought about the times in life I flat out failed and how I felt, and how I longed for some one to tell me it’s ok.. I don’t know that that ever happened, but in this moment.. I felt acceptance to that, and almost felt the embrace of the me now with the failed me(s) then.. really needed this today, thank you for the grounding… namaste

I have been doing yoga for 15 years and I enjoy it so much. I used to have terrible back pain. I tell people yoga saved my life. And Adriene’s sessions are the greatest. They’re fun, rigorous but also easy to follow. My HMO recently gave us all a “gift” of a subscription to Class Pass, which includes yoga. Ugh. No thank you. The yoga classes there are paced as if they are being run by a drill sergeant. No pose lasts longer than 3 seconds. This kind of yoga is not enjoyable, and I am sooo glad Adriene doesn’t approach it that way, ever. ❤️👏🏼 Thank you!

This practice was everything that I needed today. I’ve been feeling pretty exhausted, run-down and overwhelmed for quite a while now. I used to practice with Adriene daily but then I fell off and just never got back into the flow. Today was a reminder that I need to create time to nurture myself and re-fill my cup; so that I can be there for others in the way that I like to be. Thank you Adriene for this gift.

Good morning Adriene and my yoga family. RESTORE. Thanks much Adriene for an excellent practice, not a lot of movements but I could still feel that I was gripping especially in my forehead. I'm so glad to have you as my instructor because you helped me change my lifestyle around so I could heal and be more healthier. I'm so proud of myself I'm on the yoga mat every day. Thanks to you and your team once more. God bless and keep you all. Love you guys. Have a fulfilling day. NAMASTE. ❤❤❤

Adriene, I’d love to hear more about how you fell in love with your gut. I’m at a point in my life where my gut is so out of balance and needs a lot of love, I’m just not sure where to start. You’re such a role model and I think it’d be helpful for me and a lot of others to hear your experience more in-depth. 💙
