Phaseolus Vulgaris (Common Bean)
@JotaroKujo-sx9hi4 жыл бұрын
Phaseolus vulgaris, also known as the common bean[2] and French bean,[3] is a herbaceous annual plant grown worldwide for its edible dry seeds or unripe fruit (both commonly called beans). The main categories of common beans, on the basis of use, are dry beans (seeds harvested at complete maturity), snap beans (tender pods with reduced fibre harvested before the seed development phase) and shell (shelled) beans (seeds harvested at physiological maturity). Its leaf is also occasionally used as a vegetable and the straw as fodder. Its botanical classification, along with other Phaseolus species, is as a member of the legume family Fabaceae. Like most members of this family, common beans acquire the nitrogen they require through an association with rhizobia, which are nitrogen-fixing bacteria. The common bean is a highly variable species that has a long history of cultivation. All wild members of the species have a climbing habit,[4][5] but many cultivars are classified either as bush beans or dwarf beans, or as pole beans or climbing beans, depending on their style of growth. These include the kidney bean, the navy bean, the pinto bean, and the wax bean.[6] The other major types of commercially grown bean are the runner bean (Phaseolus coccineus) and the broad bean (Vicia faba). Beans are grown on every continent except Antarctica. Worldwide, 27 million tonnes of dried beans and 24 million tonnes of green beans were grown in 2016.[7] In 2016, Myanmar was the largest producer of dried beans, while China produced 79% of the world total of green beans. The wild P. vulgaris is native to the Americas. It was originally believed that it had been domesticated separately in Mesoamerica and in the southern Andes region, giving the domesticated bean two gene pools.[8] However, recent genetic analyses show that it was actually domesticated in Mesoamerica first, and traveled south, probably along with squash and maize (corn). The three Mesoamerican crops constitute the "Three Sisters" central to indigenous North American agriculture.[9]

I was playing minecraf one day and then I pray to jesus then found a diamond tree!! It has 128 pieces of diamond (2 stacks), diamond apple, and diamond tree sapling! I decided to craft armor and diamond items like swords and all that. I dug straight down and fell into the stronghold (portal room to the end) and all the eyes of ender were already placed!! I jumped in and beat the dragon in 10 seconds. Then my whole family came in and everybody clapped! A Random Fact: There IS actually a chance for the portal room to already have all the eyes of ender. But it's really low, anyway. Not sure if it was removed or if my memory is broken

The reason people say, “happy holidays,” is to respect other individuals’ religions and not just... promote the Christmas holiday, completely ignoring the fact that other celebrations exist...

I could believe the christmas one in the liquor store and the Walmart one, tbh
@WolfBlackNinja3 жыл бұрын
My original comment was mainly aimed at the whole month of December or so. Not particularly a given holiday. I mean, if you want to wish someone a Merry Christmas, then you could, it’s your decision and your life. I was simply defending the phrase, “happy holidays,” and trying to explain how it’s not at all erasing the idea of Christmas-just a statement that’s a little more considerate.

The thing about lucid dreaming and listening to class at the same time is possible, I used to lay my head down on the desk and just keep myself conscious so I could listen to what the teacher was saying, after some minutes doing it I always started lucid dreaming about being in class listening to the teacher, it helped me with my insomnia those days. Just bear in mind that this won't keep you from completely losing track of what the teacher was saying as many times I just got sidetracked and went to do random things on the dream because I forgot I had to listen to class.

@Jay Harv28 Eh, why not. I was like seven or so, and I was walking home from a meal out with my family through this big village square with a bunch of patio restaurants on every side, with big crowds of people milling about. There was this really loud pop music playing, I don't remember what exactly, but I started dancing to it. It was your typical excited seven year old's chaotic attempt at break dancing, but some partially drunk guy started clapping and cheering for me, and then his friends joined in, and a few others, and in the end it was like twenty or so people clapping, maybe a couple more. I barely noticed it was happening and was really confused but my parents thought it was hilarious.

About the Volkswagen thing: My grandpa actually DID lift a Volkswagen with a bunch of his friends in high school, but he didn't steal it. He stuck it in an alley between two buildings and the car was stuck there for a while.

Ego is never about whether being liked or not - it's a feeling of superiority and "winning" any argument they make. They don't care about being hated or ignored, because to them that's just a sign of weakness, and they will happily brag about bringing those responses out of people as if they just won some grand price. If you don't argue with them, they will assume there's nothing to disprove their claims and thinks they're in the right - if you try to prove them wrong, they will still think they're in the right - there's just no winning with these kind of people.

You know - my mom has us still wearing Masks and I've never, the entire time, had a SINGLE person give me shit about wearing a mask. 3 years now, not one person approached me. And unless managing to be REAL quiet about it - never said anything near me as if they wanted me to hear but didn't want to confront me. Worst thing I had happen was someone look at me and go "Are cases back up or something?" and when I said yes [true for my area] they merely mentioned that they'll have to be more careful then since their husband got "long covid". That was it. No big huge conversation or argument. And even if she was just saying that to avoid someone telling her off, doesn't matter. It was a short, simple conversation. Yet "happens every day" - only if you're the one instigating it because people really do be minding their own business 99% of the time.
