One of the mothers I know said that the best gift she received was a baby wipe warmer. Especially if you're having to clean up baby during diaper changes and you live in a cold climate, that wipe being warm really helps the baby be more comfortable.

Honestly, Elsa, there is no need for all these materialistic items of baby equipment. I had my three in the sixties, and a cot, towelling nappies, home made nighties, baby grows, home made jackets and bonnets, a pram, playpen, reins for toddlers and a harness for the pram were all I had. Run a piece of cloth under hot water for a baby wipe. We all survived, by the way!

Cold air is dry air. Dry air wreaks havoc on the upper respiratory system. The mucus membranes swell making the airway passages smaller.................thus leading to the feeling of a "stuffed up nose" and often a bloody discharge. May I kindly suggest you find the humidifier sooner than later and filler up with water and turn it on. Use it close to where ever you are, but espcially while you sleep. You should notice the difference within hours.

We've all grown from the lessons you've learned and the ones you have shared. I've thanked many KZbin creators for taking us along on their journey. But, your story is the one that connects. You’re nesting. 😄 And it’s so lovely! We all feel that driving, instinctual urge to get all our ducks in a row as a pregnancy progresses. It’s a very physical, obvious transition from youth to adulthood that we’re not accustomed to experiencing in our everyday, mundane lives. It’s not wrong to call it nesting. Nor is it wrong to indulge in it! Enjoy it while you have the energy. This time won’t last. 😂

I'm just waiting for the "cleaning and organizing" aspect of nesting to kick in!! Right now it just feels like improving quality of life that I should've done sooner!
@chrissihr103123 сағат бұрын
@ I have ADHD, so I never actually got the overwhelming urge to clean and organize, really. I sorted through baby shower gifts the day after and pulled out everything cotton and white that could be tie-dyed, but otherwise, I just washed it all and put it away so it would be ready to wear when Baby came home. Not everyone gets the urge to clean. Or to organize. Or to fluff the bedcovers and blankets and pillows and make it a cozy space. You’ll do what works for you. If you do decide to pick up some flannel sheets, I strongly recommend Woolrich 100% cotton flannel sheets. In fact, all natural fibers in a thin, lasagna layering system on your bed is the best way to keep the warmth in, but not end up an angry, sweaty ball of regret in the middle of the night. We’ve had a Woolrich quilt and flannel sheets for years and they’re long-time faves of ours. Easy to patch, too, if you don’t mind a bit of pretty, visible mending. Good luck to you. I’ll be thinking of you and sending all the good vibes for an easy time in your final months and delivery. Blessings on all three of you. ♥️

You won't regret a down comforter. Get a king. It is so lightweight and warm. I make my own covers with two queen sized sheets and a big zipper. You can buy covers as well. It keeps it.clean enough that you only have to wash once a year or so. And so you did! Linnea was right. Glad you got the good advice. Bloody noses can be helped with several essential oils. I use Lavender, Helichrysum and Frankincense. 5-10 drops each in a roller bottle with MCT oil to the top. Roll it on the bridge of your nose and forehead. Works for any smaller injury as well, It's also anti-inflammatory so on your throat before bed might help with snoring.

The cool thing about nesting is that you get to embrace cultivating an environment that brings positive, intentional energy into that space. Y’all were already adulting in a huge way. Wanting to add personal touches to the home you quite literally built is valid and beautiful. Buuuutttttt there is also a vastly different feeling that comes with doing that for your chosen nuclear community vs doing it for yourself as a singular person. It’s wild how much more comfortable that shift is when we want something different for them than what we had or would typically accept for ourselves

I was young when I had my children (21-25) and I was not as conscious about the things we were putting in our bodies. I wish i had known then what I know now but 20/20 is hid sight as they say. Now at 37 I'm so happy to see women taking control over their own health and the health of their children....not just trusting that "The government has out best interest" Great job mom and dad ...you are helping make the world a better place by just being who you are 🥰🙏🏼🫶🏽

It keeps you warm in the winter and cool during the summer and it been wool its anti bacterial anyway but its still good to air it out anyway. It is a bit more expensive than a down one but its honestly worth the money!

Elsa when you said you were trying not to cry and Barron hugged you I died of happiness for you both. I’ve been watching since you both started scamp life and my husband and I are expecting our first baby in April. Thanks for sharing your wonderful life! ❤

Look into putting metal plates where the wires pass through the studs. This prevents you from nails penetrating into the wires. Didn't know if you knew this.

"...but now it's dark because it's officially 3 o'clock..." LOLOLOL! IYKYK! #coloradomountainliving Linnea, that one made us ALL cry! And of course Kamp has to try it out first. He has to make sure it's fit for his baby sister!

For what it's worth. I was a l&d nurse for 15+ years. "Birthing From Within" is so good and was a huge help for my two unmedicated births. Just be 1000% in, to whatever you want.

Best way to spike your blood sugar is a sugary soda. My guilty pleasure is Verners ginger ale. We would recommend 1 hour and 2 hour post prandial blood sugar checks. Your Hemaglobin A1c is a better measurement of glucose over the last 3 months.
