She was awesome back then, and even better now. She is getting better and better with every new song she writes, with every cover she sings, with every amazing performance she does. Why she is not already a household name, on the same level as Adele, Ed Sherron, Taylor Swift and the like is just beyond comprehension.

She is a 13 year old soul singer who loves Janis Joplin, James Brown, Tina Turner, etc. Her singing was phenomenal at 13, but much stronger at 18 when "That Girl" was produced. The performance is still the same. though.
