Reagan left the presidency in 1989 with the American economy having seen a significant reduction of inflation, the unemployment rate having fallen, and the U.S. having entered its then-longest peacetime expansion. Reagan's policies also contributed to the end of the Cold War and the end of Soviet communism

It's a great movie starring Dennis Quaid to play Reagan. Everyone should see it and you will love the history of the cold war intermingled with the film. Kudos to Jon Voight too who played the Russian KGB psychological intel officer. A Must See!! Classic moviemaking at its BEST....

@@StephanieSoressi Apparently you do if you think LBJ and Carter accomplished a quarter of what Reagan did? Don't get me wrong no leader is perfect by any means, but to bring down a guy who brought the Soviet Union to its knees to eventual collapse without launching a nuke but with words is pretty strong leadership.

so will it gloss over his involvement in the iran contra scandal, and how he played politics with hostages in Iran, preventing them from being freed until his inauguration - like the GOP in general, always just the optics of being heroes but alot of theatrics and manipulation behind the scenes
