This video will go into further detail about the files included with the download and how to use them. I explain in greater depth about the halftone patterns and how they work, showing visually in real-time the way that the layers and blending modes create the conversion of the underlying image into various types of halftone or other shape-tessellation patterns.
In this video I am keeping with only showing the conversion of an underlying greyscale image, but these halftone conversion patterns also work on COLOR images, however there is so much material to cover in these developments that I want to make it easier to understand and follow along, so I will go into more instruction on working with color images in the next videos in this series.
I show how to use these patterns for fun and artistic purposes, and stick around for the end of the video as I go into an example of a custom greyscale color separation of an image of a car, converting it to a Black, Dark Grey, Light Grey, and White with the Round-Dot halftone pattern and some tricks with Gradient-Map adjustment layers to change the colors around and pull the custom grey-points for the halftones.

Thank you for this gift. you are light years ahead of all the other seps softwares out there. The old Macromedia Freehand had an option to output 6 col seps (cmyk +green,+ orange).. Question: With your method, is it possible to create variable 1/2 tone lpi in the same image? . For example below 50% gray, lpi will be 45 and above 50% gray, lpi will be 65 in the same image. Thank you

I've added this capability to the Max Chroma Photo-Tessellator Pattern PAck 1 and also made a new video that teaches how to easily split the layers by their grey values and then apply patterns in different ways. The new video is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZK7pqaFpsmaY8k This opens up all sort sof new custom-designed HYBRID-RIP methods, and I will be going into more detail in future videos. Search for some free Blue-Noise patterns to try making FM diffusion-style halftone-conversions, when you are in high-resolution now you can rotate them and achieve rotated-index styles of seps. I'll show how you can get the Hexachrome and other types of hue-range separations from the Gradient Mapper. When you combined the mapping with the halftone tessellation stuff is when it really gets insane, lol.
