Larissa Rodriguez was originally charged with murdering her five year old, among other crimes. She would ultimately plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter, felonious assault, endangering children, and gross abuse of a corpse. Rodriguez was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Her late son, Jordan, was born prematurely, and was non-verbal. He was found buried in a 4-foot by 4-foot grave in the family's backyard, wrapped in blankets and trash bags by Rodriguez and her boyfriend, Christopher Rodriguez, after they woke up to find him dead on September 22, 2017.
Jordan’s body was not discovered until December, when a tip from Christopher's brother, who was deployed overseas in Pakistan, led authorities to discover the grave behind the family's home in Cleveland.
This is the police interrogation of Larissa Rodriguez in relation to the murder of her own son.

And a fractured wrist! I fell on my wrist as an adult and it hurt so bad that it initially took my breath away! I can imagine fracturing a small child’s bones and how bad it hurts! I haven’t gotten that far but based on what you’ve said, I would agree she has to be in on it if she didn’t tell anyone while he was in jail. I certainly understand someone being fearful while in a domestic violence situation. But once he was in jail, she was afraid of going to jail! If she was smart and even if she was guilty, that would have been the time for her to go to the police and spill all the beans. She would have been credible!
@DoubleAplusJ
@DoubleAplusJ 11 ай бұрын
@@lisajeter9511Not that I disagree that she was in on it, BUT as a domestic and sexual abuse survivor, even once my abuser was in prison, it still took many years to actually speak about the experiences I went through. At 40, I STILL have fear that my abuser will come after me. This woman came from a life of abuse. An abusive significant other is just another reflection of what she's always known. She became instantly submissive to the fucked up dude she brought in the house and allowed her kids to suffer the same shit she did growing up. And THIS is where my sympathy and understanding for her fear ends. No one would ever be allowed to touch my children. EVER. Not their dad who I've been married to for 20 years, not their grandparents or uncles or aunts. .and damn sure not some fucker I met online.

How she only got 25 years is mind blowing! I personally have always thought that anyone who abuses a child, let alone murders them, should automatically get a life sentence, if not the death penalty. What's terrifying to think about is that when his wrist and/or ribs were broken, I'm sure he cried because of the pain. It's highly likely that his crying made them mad and he got abused more because of that. My heart absolutely breaks for this poor little boy and all the other children in this house of horrors!

Your children are coming to see you in jail, where you sit because you've abused your child to death, and you agree to visit with them only because you think YOU will feel better?!? I mean ,how big of a coward does it take to pick on a little kid and not only a little kid but a little kid that's unable to speak!!! In their eyes " the weakest" . What bothers me the most about her story claiming "she was in fear and scared " and she wasn't aware of him " punching" him was the weight loss! He was starving!!! She obviously knew her child was starving to death !! And if she really thought it was his kidneys making him swell then WHY DIDNT SHE TAKE HIM TO E.R? She was a victim, she hasn't ever been shown love by the sounds of it, she was raised in homes. I don't think she ever healed, so she will always be in survival mode.. she will fight her problems, run from her problems, fawn over people, and it will all be wrong. That's what survival mode does to the amygdala. She is damaged. And so it goes on..her son died, who knows maybe Jordan would have grown up and carry on the cycle of abuse. Most don't understand what life is like without abuse. Sometimes, when the abuse stops, they take themselves out because they can not live life in normal mode.

She accused Chris of the things she did herself. I don’t know why but she wasn’t aware the detailed interviews of people around her, were going to happen. Her sister told police that Larissa put a sock in Jordan’s mouth. That’s way too specific for that to be mentioned in her interview and Larissa’s. It was obviously true except that it was Larissa instead of Chris. Also a minor point but it shows her habit of lying, that in her interview she mentions Jordan rocking all the time and when the detective mentions that being a common trait among kids who started out in incubators, Larissa acts surprised and says it’s the first time she’s ever heard that. Then in the ex’s interview he tells the detective that Jordan rocked all the time which happens a lot with kids who were in incubators. There’s no way he just knew that. She’d obviously told him that’s why he did it. It was a dumb lie but it shows how lying is a forced habit for her. Just saying when we can see proof of lies to police, we know there are more lies in there that don’t jump out to us because we don’t know what we don’t know.

The jail calls are sickening with her and Chris. After he buried Jordan while incarcerated he threatened the other kids and you can hear how bad he wants to hit them but since he can’t he instructs Mariana to hit them. She didn’t care about Jordan. She was worried about getting care packages for her “sexy soulmate” with her kids child support while he served time for not paying his. Her son was rotting away and she was worried about if he was getting visits from his Ex in jail 🙄 I hope her other kids are ok today. You don’t just let your child be abused because you’re scared of the abuser (if her story is even true) - a real mother would die to protect her child! She should have moved heaven and earth to get her child to safety. Her self-pity is making me sick. Not exactly pertinent, but the government needs to crack down on monitoring homeschoolers. I keep seeing interrogations of abusive mothers/step-mothers who didn’t send the child to school to keep the abuse hidden.

How did she not get life without parole? This is way more evil than an armed robbery or murdering a stranger.

I've known a few people that were sexualy abused as children, and they went on to have children that they would lay their lives down for. They couldn't fathom putting their children through that level of pain. How you could bring a violent and abusive man into your children's lives I will never understand. How could you betray your own child that way?

“I defended my kids” - she took money she should have spent on her children and added it to the thug’s commissary account, so they could have lovey-dovey phone calls while he sat in jail. She listened to the thug threatening her children from his prison cell, and said nothing. In fact she complained about her children to the thug. The thug, on at least one occasion, told Larissa to tell one of her children to hit a younger child, and Larissa happily passed on the message. How cops manage to control themselves while having to deal with someone like her, I’ll never know. Kudos to them.

I wonder how long they would have got away with hiding their secret if Chris didn't confess to his brother, the way they talked in their phone calls made them act like they already forgot about him.

I have an autistic son and am raging watching this. I’m a stay at home dad for him. How they can interpret things can very a lot just like atypical children. Imagining my kid with a broken rib suffering… well like any parent.., makes me want to vomit at the thought of it.

This makes me feel rage. I fled an extremely abusive relationship, taking beatings for my son's. placing my son's in the custody of someone else for 2 years, getting my head straight. I like most didn't have a good up bringing yet here my boys are well, healthy and ALIVE, back with mama! There is no excuse in the world that justifies what they did. Listing to this, makes me want to puke. Absolutely sickening 😡

These people who claim welfare to look after their children are getting food, rent, money for power, heat. It should literally be their only job, unfortunately they don't do it with the responsibility it requires. There needs to be far more accountability for "government employees" who are effectively receiving a wage to do a job.

She’s right. She isn’t a fighter. A mother would fight to protect her children. My mother stood up to my stepdad and she may have been murdered because of it but I will remember her as a warrior unlike this fucking coward. Hopefully her children will see her as just that and never have anything to do with her.

When I was pregnant I got bruised ribs from my child rotating so much and being so active in my womb. It hurt to take a breath. I could barely breath would wake up in pain. I knew what was happening bc I was put on bed rest. I couldn’t imagine a child who knew nothing about these fractures going through this and than being beat for being in pain. I have permanent bruises on my ribs from where my child kicked me in my ribs. I get bruised easy now when I take a big sneeze or cough bc of the beating I took from being pregnant. I would take this pain over and over again to make sure my child was taken care of. How do these parents go about killing their kids? Worse of it how does cps turn their back on these kind of cases
