What a refreshing video! I watched numerous videos and this was one of the best. You could really tell that this guy knew what he was doing and took pride in doing it. Equally impressive was the condition of the machines and cleanliness of the shop. There wasn't swarf all over the floor or machines, he didn't throw the parts on the floor only pick them up multiple times. He even took the time to cover the ways when he got the grinding stone, dressed it and ground the pump gears. Great job!

In many countries this is exactly how you become experienced in your future profession. He is very likely the son of the man in the video and seems happy to help out.

You would think this is only in other 3rd world countries, but my experience working at a shop that processed turbine blades for Pratt & Whitney engines back in 2001, totally reminds me of this work environment, only somewhat better. Plus the kind lathes I see hear were being used at machine shop in the University I went to in Connecticut from 1996 -2001, to teach engineers about Metal cutting and manufacturing.

They do their job under difficult conditions, often without precise measuring devices, etc. You need to have a fairly perfect mind to do your job. I am always full of admiration for these People. Worked a Cat certified rebuild facility here in the states for 16 years and I gotta say, other than corporate having cleanliness issues, dude did a fine job on that pump. salvaged the gear sets and and resurfacing the pump shells looked great. would love to see a flow test of it, but I think it should get the job done, after all its just a danged ol' loader 😉 good work guys

As with a lot of these videos you think that can't work but no doubt it does. 100% probably not but you work with what you have. It makes a change these days to see things being repaired not thrown away. And to see generations of people keeping that going. All most of us know how to do now is open the box from China and take the new part out.

Дак почему они сначала проводят мех.обработку,а после это все чистое и ровное, долбят молотком? Может быть я не прав,но первый должен быть молоток,а после притирка. И ещё... Покажите этому человеку,как нужно пользоваться микрометром. А то так,как он его толкает, можно на любой размер затолкать. И сдирать затянутый микрометр, с измеряемого изделия тоже не нужно,так как винт скоро сотрётся на половину. Мне кажется проще ослабить и снять спокойно... Возможно я не прав.

да нормально, у него же получается и это хорошо. думаю для их спецов это достаточно высокий уровень - пользоваться микрометром, а как уже вопрос второй. его бы поверить и офигеть что он там показывает погоду на марсе в полнолуние.

У меня на работе, (неудобный зараза) микрометр на 25, без трещетки. то ли болгарин, то ли венгр. Там фрикцион. но так5и да, нам без трещотки плохо. за сим отнес на работу. Есть шанс, что не сопрут. ))) Шестерни ремонтные. Он под старые втулки протачивал наверно. я уж не помню. Давнож смотрел, теперь только в сраче участвую. Если ему нечем ни развернуть, ни расточить втулки, то он поступает ситуативно. проточил ремкомплект, на сезон хватит.

We disassemble, then we check all bearings and surfaces and take note of any in need of repair. We fix anything that needs it, and ONLY that. We clean it up and paint it pretty. Then we package it up as TOTALLY BRAND NEW I once worked at a place in DETROIT that did that, only they were marked ' remanufactured ' one of my jobs was checking bearings to see if they were reusable.

Ну это уже по сравнению с тем что раннее видел -уровень... Станочек боле мение свежий и не загаженный ,какие не какие резцы есть, даже микрометром удивил , правда пипец он микрометр перетягивал .Да и работа выполнялась не на кортонах и не на земле в пылюке , как обычно у этих ребят бывает . Молодец что пацаненка обучает ,толк будет).Люди работяги здесь ни чего не скажешь ,но вот судя по действиям , уровень учебных заведений где обучаються всему что сязано с металообработкой -слабоват , хотя возможно все упираеться в минталитет.

Уровень на высоте, особенно если в таких условиях и за такие деньги. нибось нашему дай, в сто раз условия, так закажет через интернет, сделает штук пять перепродаж и втюхает потребителю. И ролики снимать не будут. Вот тут точно менталитет.

First half decent shop I've seen so far ... using a workbench and not a dirt floor plus the lathe doesn't look like it's been used as an anvil. And the machinist isn't using a 3' length of pipe on the chuck key either ! Keep it up, guys - although I'd be tempted to put a guard on the grinding wheel and learn how to use a micrometer properly.

не видно как позиционируется деталь в патроне по приборам, на резец как в видео, я думаю опасно, можно до десятки плоскость увести от перпендикуляра к отверстиям под шестерни

У нас много что должно быть по технологии, по каким то рекомендациям и допускам. Но из практики так не делают, максимум специализированные организации или военные и то не факт. Думаю для деталей не требующих строгих допусков можно и на коленке
