The ability to completely captivate an audience of nearly any demographic by sheer force of talent and performance is truly incredible and a rarity possessed by the worlds legends

Exactly. Nobody cared that Freddie Mercury was gay, even the homophobes. Everyone loved him simply by the force of his overwhelming talent. Same with Chappell.

So excited to see Chappell on the late show! She slayed it!! So happy to see her get the credit she deserves!

She looks ridiculous. But outside of that. Nothing special. I feel like liberals love to celebrate people with strange identities. Just because.

She looks ridiculous. I feel like libs care more about identity than anything else. This wasn't anything special.

AAAHH ONE OF MY FAV ARTISTS PERFORMING ON ONE OF MY FAV LATE NIGHT SHOWS!!! Chappell sounded INCREDIBLE (like somehow even better than the already amazing vocals on the regular track??), and I'm obsessed with the arrangement for this performance. Here's hoping I can see her live someday and experience this in person 😄 (also Stephen telling her stay on the ground at the end was really cute lol)

For years, YEARS, I listened to Pink Piny Club and loved Chappell Roan but no one knew it! It’s the first time I discovered an amazing performer years before they were big. I’m so glad she’s getting the recognition ahead of deserves

Chappells stamina is insane but we all saw her practice for it so it’s not surprising. Her voice is on par with Patrick stumps with how clear he is when he’s performing live

Brought our girls to the Rodrigo show (which was amazing) and had no expectations for the “opening” band I never heard of…but as Chappell Roan was playing I was like “wait a second, what is this??!! This is awesome!” Great vocals, great songs, fun personality, great vibe. Her album has been a constant ever since then! Need to come back to the Twin Cities!

Chappell is exactly what I wanted from someone in this industry. Old feeling but it has her own twist on it. I love her music so much.

Wow!!! Where to start with this masterpiece. I just discovered Chappell Roan a couple weeks ago and this song has me hypnotized. Absolutely floored by that live vocal performance. Love a dramatic time signature change. And this song has an epiiiiiiiic one for the ages. Then the second tempo change (within the chorus itself!!! -chef’s kiss) prompted by “Let’s pick it up now” which is so funny and yet so perfect and reminds me of an aerobics class or a video game. This is one of the most joyous songs I’ve ever heard. Some of my favorite moments: the Cher-esque “Baby” at 2:18…the way she says rabbit…the sigh when she falls on ground at the end. She is so expressive and raw. I could write separate essays each entirely devoted to analyzing/raving about the drummer, Chappell’s command of the stage, her makeup (can’t unsee Dee Snider?), the outfits are fun (is that a split lampshade? Reminds me of the robot in Spaceballs), and the background vocals are catchy as hell. I love how all the live performances I’ve seen of RWSN have really brought the 3:25 vocal melody to front, where on the record it’s mixed with other vocal overdubs. No wonder she’s on the floor, she went harrrrrd on that outro. The force of those last novas and stoner. Chappell’s vocals are like Simone Biles. They just start with a higher degree of difficulty than the rest. Her voice is like the bigger crayon box. She just has more colors to choose from.
