Hi Jesse, great tutorial as always. I was looking for a dust animation (Volumetric Dust Particles) for an interior scene and there is nothing I could find for 3ds Max, only for some Blender users. It's basic maybe but just wanted to mention it. So, if you seek a new video subject :)

Oh that’s pretty simple to make with tyflow. Birth volume, give them a blurred circle texture, some noise and slow operator to move them around.

Hi Bro ! Thank you for the lesson ! The material is very accessible and high-quality. My question is: if you do the same thing until 04: 10, but then connect Phoenix FD (smoke or liquid) to the tyflow particles? how do I do this? can you do this version of the lesson ? it was very useful and interesting! thank You for your work! Best Regards Tom.
@RedefineFX4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Phoenix works well with tyFlow particles just have to enable Particle Interface in tyFlow. Setting up a basic smoke sim is covered on this channel.
@tomyoda4 жыл бұрын
@@RedefineFX Jesse, Thank you for your answer! But unfortunately I can't do it. I don't have enough TyFlow knowledge. My main knowledge is rendering, creating 3D landscapes and abstraction. Working with particles is new to me. PhoenixFD is clear to me(I use it for fog, smoke, clouds, + I learned a lot from Your lessons), TyFlow is still difficult for me. in PHXSource, I added TyFlow. In TyFlow I found only Particle Forge, in it I added Phoenix FD Fire. But apparently this is wrong, because in the end nothing happened :) I didn't find a lesson on Your channel - where Phoenix smoke joins TyFlow particles.

Hi Jesse, I absolutely love your work. I've been struggling with one task for a while and was hoping you could help me with it. I'm trying to create an animation of pouring a sachet of powder which then turns into a pill. Is this possible in Tyflow?
@RedefineFX Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah so this would be tricky to do. Grains are doable but fine powder is hard. There are ways to break objects and have them re-assemble into a desired object, using custom properties. I have some tuts and there are others on youtube. I don't have an exact solution though

Hi - thanks for the tutorial. I'm finding that TyFlow gets too slow to use at around the point of editing the Spawn (calculating frames). My machine is a brand new dual xeon (56 core) with a 3090... so I'm guessing I am missing a setting here. Any ideas appreciated
@RedefineFX3 жыл бұрын
you need to connect the spawn to something otherwise it keeps replicating in on itself. It needs to flow to the next event just like I do it.

I had Max in inches from another project. You can do whatever units you’d like. I’m just saying if people want the EXACT same result as what I got, their circle needs to be the same size as mine and they need to work in the same units. Otherwise I’ll get comments saying “I followed everything but it looks different”.

Hi Pier, that's a really cool sim. I think you can get pretty close to that result by using the desert preset inside tyflow's new terrain operators and animating the phase.
