Redmond is all I use. All the minerals remain and hasn’t been bleached, mined from an ancient underground sea in Utah. Love this salt!

Redmond is my favorite. But, I also like Himalayan, and celtic. I ferment a lot of my vegtables, so I use lots of salt. If you ferment, you can't use refined salt with anti caking and bleaching agents.

I prefer the Redmonds.. easy to use, and cook with, has great flavor and all of the minerals.. we also use Celtic Grey salt.. because it’s moist, it’s not as easy to use, like in a shaker.. I use those two in my electrolyte drinks every morning! 1/2 t, squeezed lemon, 1/4 t of cream of tartar for potassium and stevia drops… cheaper and better than those expensive packets, plus you know what’s in them!

All 3 of those salts are outstanding. I use all of them, It depends on what I'm cooking or canning. I sold sea salts and spices for about 15 years. I carried 28 different sea salts and 79 spices, besides the salt lamps, cooking slabs ,different things, to go along with food prep. The Celtic Gray is also always in my medicine. Cabinet, that is the go to salt if you're using it for medicine. Like you said, just be sure you're getting pure. The Redmonds read the package. I get my salt at Salt World. Redmond's, I purchased through them.

I am a fan of Himalayan Pink Salt, I think it has an almost sweet after taste. One addition to salt what is NEEDED is Iodine. I'm old enough to remember seeing ( in my youth 5-7) old people with Goiters. Those are a sign of Iodine deficiency, growing up in the Midwest there was very little sea food available and as a result some people developed a Goiter. That is a serious medical condition that was wiped out by trace amounts of Iodine in table salt. So avoid other unnecessary additives but don't be scared of salt with Iodine.

I have several different kinds of salt. Out of the 3 you mentioned, I have tried two of them, Redmond’s and Himalayan salt. I pickled jars of mixed vegetables, half of the jars in Redmond’s and half of the jars in the Himalayan salt brine. The Himalayan salt completely dissolved, but the Redmond salt had little red sand grains in the bottom of the pan that did not dissolve and were actually little pieces of rock not salt. As for taste, I liked the Himalayan salt better for the pickled vegetables and for everyday use. The vegetables pickled in the Himalayan salt also stated crunchy longer that those pickled in the Redmond’s salt.

About 14 years ago I started using Celtic Sea Salt and loved it. I tried the pink Himalayan salt also. Loved that too. Then I tried Redmond's Real Salt. Now I am using up the other two types of salt I still have and will buy Redmond's exclusively. Reason being, I too have a concern about the sea water from which Celtic Sea salt is made. The pink salt is sold through many vendors who may not have the consumer well being in mind. I like Redmond because it comes from Utah, USA and from an ancient dried up sea.

Mary’s nest is a channel that focuses on traditional cooking and ferments and she says Celtic Sea salt was tested and has the least amount of microplastics, so I bought it as a course salt and put it in a grinder. I like it far more than any other salts I had including Himalayan which I heard had traces of Uranium in it in one article. Mary likes Redmond as well and I just ordered some so I’ll comment which one I like more after I receive it!

The price of Redman is about to skyrocket! Every time a video goes viral. It’s insane on the increase. Because of Barbara O’Neill, Celtic sea salt is ridiculously expensive for a half pound of salt. Last time I checked $15. First time I bought it I got 2 pounds For like 14. Sickening anyhow, thanks for the info.

I’ve not tried Redmond’s. I typically get Himalayan salt so we get the trace minerals. Also I get it in the “rock” crumbles because I am sensitive to anti caking agents so that eliminates the need for such things.

Redmonds is #1 in my opinion. I buy it in 10lb buckets that only cost around $60 or so before tax and shipping. It seems as though I go through about just over a 1lb per year My favorite way to use it is to sprinkle it somewhat liberally on a grass fed ribeye and then sear it in beef tallow on a skillet 😎

I know everyone swears by Redmond salt but I did a side by side comparison with Himalayan. The Himalayan had more trace minerals then Redmond. Both were unprocessed with no additional additives to compare them equally. I prefer the Himalayan for taste, it holds up well when used in cooking, and I actually use less because it produces a much stronger saltiness.
