The most challenging for me was the sniff and throw to the feet for 4 minutes. I was so lightheaded and dizzy still recovering from the long term use of benzos. 🙏 I get stronger every day though.

@@phoebe6083 Amazing Julie! I'm so proud of you! And yes, stay compassionate with yourself. It's a big process to release these substances from you system. If any of the practices feel like they're pushing you too hard, go more gently. We have a whole lifetime to build up the strength and mastery of these techniques. So long as you are trying your best, you are succeeding every day

Thanks so much for the morning Kriya. just finished doing it and it was great. May I mention that by saying men or woman you are excluding people who do not identify as part of the gender binary (trans and non-binary). I have just completed the 1st module of Kundalini teacher training course and the teachers would say, if you wish to call the feminine energy place the left thumb on top and if you wish to call the masculine energy place the right thumb on top. :) thanks again for your generosity and kindness in posting so many videos. WOW, INSANELY POWERFUL PRACTICE !! I had a rebirth experience instilling this is truly our natural state Plus 2 great insights/intuitions came during class; such as when distracted by the thought of someone/something else, simply send them/it love to gravitate back to presence (probably inspired by your recent 10 day love & light challenge) (how do I only realize this super effective technique now?!) And to top it all off, released the bizarrely strong urge to eat a grilled cheese sandwich that was gnawing at me... I'm vegan so that would not have went over very well... lol Thank you for guiding me towards greater stability of the mind and to choosing nurturing, loving actions for my body to align with our collective blessing
@RefeelYoga4 жыл бұрын
Wow Lisa, I'm so touched to read about your experience and insights! When these techniques come from our intuition (your sending love to come back to present) they can be the greatest gift that will benefit us greatly on our journey. I highly recommend you to keep this practice in your back pocket and use it whenever you remember. It comes from your inner Guru so it will not lead you wrong. Also, glad that you were able to burn away your unhealthy desires... I'm struggling with my sugar addiction all month! Living with granny has many challenges! 😂 I'm very happy that you are here with us and sharing your love and light on our channel. Merry Christmas Lisa 🙏💕

Personally, I love to have one practice that I do consistently and one that I am changing and playing with. In this way I know I am going deeper into my regular practice and I also keep myself engaged and passionate by having some other practices that I rotate or experiment with. Wow! I regularly do your 108 Surya Namaskar video, but even so, I felt this workout the next day in lots of different muscles and areas that I forgot could get sore (the groin right where the thigh meets the hips). Also, during the last few practices, things got crazy. My lower arms felt like they were being squeezed by blood pressure cuffs and my hands got tingly and vibrating. The sensations were so strong, I actually looked down at my hands to see if they were physically shaking!.They weren't, but it sure felt like it. What was going on?
@RefeelYoga2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's a completely different practice than Surya Namaskar! A very intense one - one of my favorites ;) What you are experiencing is the movement of energy in one of your subtle bodies, most likely the Pranic/Energy body, which is very closely connected to the physical body. This is why it can even feel like the physical body is moving, but there is no actual physical movement. It's a good sign of being in a high state of energy AND a refined level of awareness!

@RefeelYoga4 жыл бұрын
If you're getting dizzy from this movement I would encourage you to slow down. Cat-Cow is generally one of the more gentle movements for warming the spine and for the activation of Manipura Chakra. So go slower if you need, should be okay! AND I also encourage you to keep your eyes closed during the practice. Internalize your awareness. This will help to notice when you start to reach your dizzy boundary as well as benefit your practice overall. With all Yogic practices it's best to keep your eyes closed and your attention inside. Hope this helps! 🙏💕

Very awakening class! Can you please advise which pose is best for removing fat around the abdomen? Sat Nam

For this purpose I highly recommend starting each morning with the Kundalini "Wake Up Series". I have two different videos of it on the channel. One where I explain it in better detail and one where it is only the practice. Start with the first one! This is the best practice I have found to boost the metabolism first thing in the morning and remove belly fat in as little as a week. Make sure you do it first thing before any food or drink!

Hello Andrew, Thanks for this wonderful kriya.. I have been practicing this for about a month continuously and noticing significant changes in body in terms of energy levels and clarity in mind...tons of thanks for that... But I also noticed that sometimes I feel burning sensation in my eyes and my lower lips are receding. Is there something I am doing wrong here?
@RefeelYoga3 жыл бұрын
Hello Balamurali! I'm glad to hear you are enjoying this practice :) I would not say you are doing it wrong. Kundalini practices can bring up all sorts of sensations and experiences as we purify our bodies and burn through Karma. If it gets to a point of concern I would tell you to take a break from this practice and work on Muladhara Chakra ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZW7ZphmhJZloKM ) But I would not worry or think that anything is wrong. Also, I encourage you to check out our video, "Is Kundalini Dangerous?", to learn more about the different effects that can come from the practice. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKHbkoCOm7afisk

When we do breath of fire, do we engage our core/belly? Or just do with nose??
@RefeelYoga3 жыл бұрын
Technically we want the belly to be soft so that the diaphragm will move as much as possible. In this way, yes we want the breath to be coming from low in the belly and really feeling a pumping of the abdomen. But it is coming from the diaphragm, not the core or abdominal muscles. Also, if this is a new practice for you, the exchange of gasses is more important than the isolation of the diaphragm. I encourage new students to focus more on the breathing in and out rapidly, and the location of the breathing will come naturally with time.

Does patreon have more videos than the yogi+?
@RefeelYoga2 жыл бұрын
The content is essentially the same for the Refeel Yogi+ tier on both. However I think many people find KZbin more convenient to navigate. We are actually going to open a new membership platform by the end of the year where we will hopefully be able to offer much more than on KZbin and Patreon 🤫 Just waiting to find the time and space to get everything organized.

Hey Andrew i was wondering what's the difference between normal Yoga nd Kundalini Yoga .I mean it appears as normal yoga only.. except holding the breath & Muldhara Contraction part ....can this practice Awaken kundalini ?
@RefeelYoga Жыл бұрын
In the end, all Yoga is intended to awaken the Kundalini. You could think of Kundalini as the goal, and the different branches of Yoga (Hatha, Bhakti, Jñana, Tantra, etc.) as means to reach that goal. The confusion comes because in the 1960s Yogi Bhajan called his type of Kriya Yoga, "Kundalini Yoga". It's not really an appropriate title. It's more focused on Kriya which is generally some sort of dynamic movements and/or breath, done with the intention to purify and strengthen the nervous system. In the end, Kriya Yoga still falls under the umbrella of Hatha Yoga, the yoga of creating balance in the nervous system. Same like Vinyasa, Yin, Ashtanga of Patabhi Jois, and all the other Asana-based Yogic practices. While I don't necessarily agree that is is the correct way to lable this sort of practice, we have discovered that if we call our classes, "Hatha Yoga" or "Kriya Yoga", the do not perform as well. So, at least for the moment, we will continue with this incorrect nomenclature, in order to connect with more students 😉 I hope that helps to clarify things 🙏

I did this one yesterday, December 20, 2020. Why do my upper and lower back hurts and I feel like I’m getting sick? I feel like I have fever. Is that normal?
@RefeelYoga4 жыл бұрын
It can be. This practice is very detoxifying. I would not worry. I recommend you to watch our video "Is Kundalini Dangerous?". We talk in great detail about these type of experiences.

Hi, is it safe to do it without guidance?
@RefeelYoga2 жыл бұрын
As with all Self practice, safety comes down to a matter of awareness. If you practice with awaress of your body, your energy, making sure that you remain comfortable and don't push yourself beyond your limits, you will always practice in a safe way. However, if you push yourself beyond your capacities, to the point of hurting yourself, that is not a safe way to do any form of practice. Please always practice responsibly, with awareness 🙏

Did you drink before doing yoga?
@RefeelYoga3 жыл бұрын
I usually drink some water in the morning before my practice. For me it's fine! But I cannot practice with food in my belly. My wife, Clelia, is the opposite. She needs to have a small snack, but cannot drink anything before practicing.

Thank you Nicki! I agree! It is something I've been working on in more recent videos, to turn the volume down during the breathing so that it's not disturbing 🙏💞
