Replace A Window Regulator On A 2000-2006 Chevy Silverado Drivers Door

How to replace the window regulator on the driver's side door of a 2006 Chevy Silverado. This regulator can also work for 2000-2006 Silverados, Tahoes, GMC, Yukons, Sierras, and Escalades. (Update: in the video I say that a Torx screw is a T25, but it's not, it's a T20.) The regulator that I used was purchased on Amazon. Remember to grease those tracks sometimes they aren't greased. I use white lithium

Your video is the only one I saw that showed the correct way to disconnect the control switch panel. The other videos would have made me rip out the screws that hold in the switches... and would have destroyed my door panel. It looks like there are two different options for the attachment of the window controls. Its would be prudent to do it your way to keep from tearing up your truck.

99-02 has no screws. 03-06 has the screws.

How can I run the regulator to the bottom if the motor is bad?

That's a good question. I wonder if you could use some side cutters and clip the cables that go to each rail?

@@wickedlester52001 if you cut both cables that go directly to the motor, you should be able to lift the window manually.
