If you’ve ever struggled with feeling afraid that someone will leave you or cheat on you, then it is natural that these cautionary feelings will show up in your relationships. If you have been with someone for some time, you will have been able to observe how they interact and behave around other people. Basing your decision to trust them or not by using these real experiences instead of your feelings is essential.
This means you are listening to the cortex part of your brain (based on logic) rather than the limbic brain (based on impulse and emotion).

I get it, you should think logically and not try to control them. However you should also trust your intuition, and if your gut tells you this is a cheater, it's probably right.

Feelings can be filtered through our anxieties or fears or other neediness due to our own 'trauma'.
