Is it a reverse thread or “ lefty loosey righty tighty”?

So, is it reverse thread even for a 2001 honda prelude?

Hey I ask everyone with this car,I have a 06 Mdx ,have you done a valve adj or a timing belt on this?and was it from a loud Clacking that wasn't from the serp belt tensioner?

If you're at or around 100k miles and timing belt/water pump hasn't been done, do it. My mom went to 185k mi on original belt and water pump, I went to 217k on original, but that was before I did my own work and didn't know better. Valve covers have to come off (of course) for valve adjustment. It's more of a check for them being within spec than an adjustment. (Mostly, they'll still be within spec). I did the job on mom's '07 TL while doing valve cover gaskets, etc and only have to adjust 2 valves by EXTREMELY small increments. As advised by a few Acura techs, if you don't have rough running conditions or CEL related to valve train stuff, I wouldn't lose sleep over it and ppl go to 200k mi without touching them. These J series engines produce a lot of valve noise under normal operation, so you're going to hear something of course.

Did the wobbling cause a squealing noise? I replaced my tensioner and belt a few months ago but i recently started getting more squealing. Sounds like it’s coming from the PS pump pulley but I’m not sure

Did you try replacing the o rings?
@lilblingking14914 жыл бұрын
@@angelramirez7570 It was the tensioner belt that I just replaced. Got another from Acura and the problem went away. I will keep o ring replacement in mind if I get anymore squealing problems
