Maybe it was just the electricity that Gary Richrath added to the show.lol I always love to watch Richrath play and watch him get so in touch with the music and his Les Paul. RIP Gary.

Is there any way to get this live version on an album or something? I love the slow opening
@denniscassley99927 жыл бұрын
Only way I could get it was to record it off the broadcast on a cassette, for my Walkman... They SHOULD have put this version on the "2nd Decade" CD instead of the recording from that Rockford concert...IMO

Someone please. I that the Beach Boys walking across the stage? Just wondering because Gary is wearing the same outfit as when the did the live benefit during the day. Just wondering if this was the night of the benefit someplace else

My guess is they toured with Cheap Trick in 1985, which is about when I recorded this video, and I always felt like the guy with the ball cap was Rick Nielsen.

@@galaxies7 I just figure that is was the beach boys by the way they were dressed, but I can understand cheap trick too. Especially the guitar player walking across the stage. Check this one out at around 2:50 and you can see the beach boys singing backups. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6TZiZhmq7CgrqM I don't think Ricky Nelson got killed until Dec. of 85 so you could be right there too.

@@edarnold1426 No, Rick Nielsen, guitarist for Cheap Trick. I remember watching that whole Live Aid concert in 1985 and getting a T-shirt for making a donation.

@@galaxies7 oh my mistake and that makes sense.lol I misread the last name. I'm guessing you are correct on who it is. Thanks!
