I find the whole humidifier/heated tube actually a bad thing. Tried humidifier with my first machine(unheated tube) no benefit sleeping wish and more cleaning filling issues. When I got my AS10 I tried it with the tube on min 16C?, things were a little worse, started using chin strap/mouth tape. Turned on the humidifier, cranked up the tube temp. Worse numbers, worse sleep, turned off the humidifier but forgot about the tube temp, WOW now I can understand why people complain about running out of water. Turned it all off, MUCH batter. But then I seem to be one of the lucky ones that has had no issues with cpap. Had 3 different masks, they all work fine.

Been in CPAP one month. Temp on 80 I think and doc set level to 4 slowly within a week got cold symptoms, blowing nose coughing. Stopped CPAP for 3 days I was all better restarted didn't change temp . Just turned manual to 2 now 1 and so far 2 weeks no dryness or cold symptoms. Haven't experiment with with tube temp yet but this is working so far. Thanks for the post

I also am one of the lucky ones with no issues with the masks. I just want to perfect the humidifier stuff. I'm in Calgary Alberta which already super dry to begin with so def needs some but not enough to make me sick.

@@karenanderson8426 It maybe a pressure thing as well as where you live(I'm not that far form Nicko. 9:30pm and its 65% inside). I spend 95% of the night below 8 if memory serves. Maybe with higher pressures a humidifier becomes more important?

What happens if the the Tube Temp is set to Automatic? Would it take care of the humidity necessary for comfort? Thanks!

I got mine on 80 I believe. Is it normal to have it on 86? I'd like to try it. For some reason, I equate higher temperatures with more dryness, but it's the opposite, huh?
