6:57 the MP11 mold was oversized a few times and the Robot Hero ended up being shoulder height to the MPP10 in bot mode, and I think that's taller than the toyworld seekers. Granted, a Thrust version was not OSKO'd. My favorite Thrust released was the YesModel... man, the bundle of accessories they included with that fella... back when there was a lot of value in what one got with a KO purchase.

I love my MP Coneheads, but next to the MP-52 mold, they are certainly showing their age. I'm down to get this and hope the other two get announced!

God bless the KO companies. Seriously, this is more or less exactly what Takara would have done with their seeker mold. It's been years and I wonder why they haven't been able to do a retool and get this out. Why? Isn't it easy money that the fans want to spend? And now the Takara one may never actually come out anyways....

Takara seems to steer away from characters that don’t sell. They would rather release Optimus 3.0 than a new Thrust. Even though I want a new Thrust.

@@DragoonMS , they did not sell well. I believe they were Takara Tomy Mall exclusives. And, a lot of online stores still had trouble selling them. Or at least 2 of them were exclusives.

@@joehenry9546 If I’m not mistaken, I remember reading somewhere that the Takara MP-11 Coneheads were made in limited numbers. Like 2000 for each one.

Honestly I prefer the MP-11 mold for the coneheads because if you look at their animation models they're way more boxy and closer to the shape of the original toys. Only the original seekers have the more curvy cartoon design.

Got mine preordered, taking the plunge, hopefully its good in person for my first conehead. May not be 100% toon accurate, but still looks great. As for DS, I think I read in the past couple days there are rumors of them coming back, but I won't hold my breath until I see concrete evidence.

They're using the MP52 as the template instead of the MP11 mold

By "template" he's referring to the color placement from MP-11NT and he already stated that they're using the MP-52 mold when they can for the pieces.

I also wonder why DS Starscream was back on preorder on Show.Z… I went ahead and preorder this KO Thrust, even though I don’t collect KOs. It may be the only way I get the Coneheads MP scale, because the Zeta one are expensive af in the aftermarket. I’m still holding hopes that DS do them; with fit better in my collection since they’re taller than Takara MP’s versions of the seekers. I have the DS for the OGs.

It looks very nice. I think the colors look really nice, and the proportions are great. It obviously uses a lot of the engineering of the MP-52. The MakeToys was always going to be a placeholder for me. I really do think it looks pretty cheap, and feels it too.

I like the wings on the back, it makes more sense if you try to pose him, but when we just put them on the shelf and walk away, what does it matter either way.

I am going to wait on this until it is in hands and has some reviews. The wings being attached to the legs instaed of to the back makes me think it is not going to work out well

The head sculpt on the Takara looks more like a bullet head character from He-Man or old movies while the new one looks like the toy with the cone lifted up which I never liked. The face is too small and the cone too big making the toy look like a dummy wearing a dunce cap. Thanks for the video Mike. Yesterday's verdict is quite worrisome and I find it shocking that they didn't explicitly state the crime until after closing arguments and they had a jury pool of a 90% dem area... The whole thing is fishy as phuk

Mpu has the maroon all wrong. I pre-ordered. I'm a conehead fan, especially thrust. I hope they get ramjet right.

I got the igear raptors coneheads sets. They aren't mp scale though

Yeah, the iGear Raptor Squadron were loosely based on the F-22 Raptor IDW comics version of the Coneheads, instead of the G1 F-15 Eagles. Theyre not MP-scaled and they're not even the best of toys, but I had to have them too. I felt dirty going against the G1 grain like that, but $99.99 for all 3 Coneheads was too good to ignore.

It looks good but not good enough for me to replace my Takara Coneheads. Not enough toon accuracy. I'll wait for another 3rd party company to put out their Mp Coneheads in the meantime.

I was disappointed in the MakeToys coneheads, so I'm hopeful for this MPU. I don't think it's a KO of the Takara, looking at some of the panels and pegs it looks like different engineering to me. In my mind Thrust's wings are on his back but this placement is accurate. If the quality is there I could live with this, I definitely like the knee placement on this one.

I like the old official MP's look the best. In hand, they are definitely janky and wobbly but the look is still my favorite. The new guy by MPU the crotch section is far from show accurate. It is accurate to the seekers but not to the coneheads, which the official is closer. The colors are too far off from the show, also. The face is ok but not as good as the old MP, but he looks like he will be well built but awkward to pose. I think he will not be the scratch to the itch I am looking for; I will always know he is far from screen accurate and was lazily done and incorrect in almost every way. Not sure if I am going to buy, wait for a repaint/color, or for something else entirely. I love Thrust and I love seeing new ones but I feel these aren't endgame by any means and I already have the official and ko coneheads. In fact, I feel this is a step back from the official. On the good news, the price from ShowZ I estimate $85-$90.

I have the original cone head set based on the mp03 mould. I'm happy with them, I've got the original 3 seeker's in the mp03 mould, so they're all uniform. Even though the mould is a bit clunky, not totally accurate and very outdated. I don't play with my collection, so the mp03 mould works for me.

If they aren't as tall as the DS Seekers, I'll pass. I like the Toy World versions because they are tall. I see them as dumb brutes compared to the original ones despite being taller but lacking in intelligence so Megatron doesn't have to worry about their size.

I like the differences to other Seeker and Conehead moulds, I really hope that they do a Ramjet too so I can complete my set: MP3- Starscream MP11- Thundercracker MP52- Skywarp Toyworld- Dirge MakeToys- Thrust ???- Ramjet

Nah, I like the official better. The only thing I hate about the official MPs is the static expression faces. Damn I really wish a 3rd party addon would be available similar to Megatron with extra facesculpts.

I have a question: in '84 I got a bunch of transformers for Christmas including Starscream and Thundercracker, but I kinda lost interest a few months later (I had Ratchet and Ironhide, it didn't help) so I've never held the coneheads in person. The cone of the seekers goes backwards, was this option available on the original Thrust and Ramjet, or was the cone permanently on their head? Thanks!

In the toy instructions of Ramjet, Thrust and Dirge, you were supposed to flip the nose cone backwards as the final step just like Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp. In the cartoon, to differentiate the Coneheads from the original seekers, the animators decided to leave the nose cone up.

To be honest! Anytime I see youtubers say stuff like this 3rd party company went under, and they had a fire sale. I just take that as an opinion. Noone really knows with 3rd party or KOs. These companies are just constantly rebranding or finding investors or backers, waiting for factory time before they can begin production.

The cartoon improved on a few characters like Ratchet, Ironhide, Wheelie, Galvatron & Wreck-Gar. But when it comes to Dirge, Thrust & Ramjet, I'm sticking with *TOY ACCURACY.* I despise the coneheads! They transformed the G1 toys wrong. Something Transformers fans usually hate. Then they put them in the cartoon & made them official canon & now the Transformers fans love it. The definition of a *HYPOCRITE!* Say one thing but do another.

This means a lot of repaints alot of reissues an a lot of more money,,,,they need better ideas,the transformers community needs too stop buying everything they see ,an everything they make ,,redues after redues they need too stop,,how many coneheads /seekers we need of the same character,atleast if your going too do this type of crap/cash grabs,change color /name/head scupts and throw in some more guns/missiles,so we can alteast act like we don't know its the same,being tricked over an over again 💯😜👍

I'm wanting Make Toys to reissue theirs. I missed Endgame (Dirge) & that's the only one I'm needing to complete them. If I have to get another company, I'm getting rid of these. It's not "completionist" it's uniformity. I want my seekers to be the same size & mould. I don't care for Takara... that's just my preference. I wasn't going to get any of the seekers. But, thanks to a TF Source flash sale... here I am... trying to get the ONLY ONE not getting anything, not even a G2 repaint.
