I bought the original Trench GTX jacket back in 2019. Don’t be fooled this is a hardcore jacket it will keep you bone dry through the most torrential rain. I’ve done over 30k miles on it through all seasons and long motorway rides. It’s also stylish in real life, very subtle without any fancy logos and graphics. No rips, no tears, no leaks, I’d buy it again but mine will probably do another 5 years before it needs replacing. Only problem is the lining won’t keep you warm below 10c so you’ll need a better inner jacket and potentially a wind breaker on top too if you’re doing a really long motorway journeys. You’ll need to cover your neck too as the collar won’t warm your neck.

2:20 Great jacket but, since the Trench 1 has two rear vents, I don't understand why Rev'it would remove them from this new version. It seems like a downgrade to me.

Love it. I had the Trench and sold it to get the Trench 2. Great feature set for the money and looks great without all the weird colours and logos of the other brands. The thermal liner could be a bit warmer and I’d like to see more stretch in their kit now they have the airbag in their range, which I also have. Rev’it are leading the pack in quality, style, fit and safety ratings for me at the moment.

I have the trench and thinking of doing similar, the little changes to the Trench 2 answer exactly my criticisms of the Trench. I found the Trench to be stiff and hear the Trench 2 is quite soft, would you agree? Did you sell your Trench easily?

Yes, sold no problem on eBay. I wouldn’t say it’s night and day softer but it’s definitely improved.

On top of that, it's Goretex, whose tech is now no longer a patent, and there are more waterproof and breathable fabrics they just don't have fancy trademarks.

Try the Revit horizon H20 laminate gear and let me know how it compares to their goretex gear.
