omg! i made this today and it was the most delicious thing I have had in a LONG TIME!!! Thank you! I changed it up to fit my requirements of no sugar if possible--only natural fruit sweeteners when possible so I subbed dessicated coconut for the wheat germ and date syrup for the sugars/maple syrup, soft mashed avocado for the coconut oil and brown sugar swerve (ok not natural but zero pts on WW purple which is what I'm on).... I served it with a splash of milk and dash of confectioner's swerve and it was divine! thank you so much! Tomorrow I am making your brown rice spinach feta dish. Monday I am making a carrot cake from scratch for my adopted grandson's birthday (my grandson's friend).... life is good and I am enjoying all of your recipies!

I love how your recipes are so real they have real ingredients and not those weird healthy ingredients

Yet another recipe to add to my "Must Try" list. My strawberries are currently ripening in my yard, so hopefully I'll have enough to make this. The only real problem with my strawberries is that they rarely never survive the journey from my yard to my house, since I can't stop eating them. I'll try to avoid temptation, and see if I can make this. Thanks again, Dani.

I 2nd the real ingredient comment. You use a lot of fresh, normal ingredients. Not like a lot of "health nuts" who use stuff I have to google. To each its own but I love natural, accessible items. Thats why I subscribed :-)

Thanks for this recipe I have 6 large plants in my garden but my problem has always been how to sweeten without using loads of sugar. I'd also never thought to freeze rhubarb

Lol I cant eat it Dani. I hate rhubarb and water chestnuts. I hate their texture. I cringe just thinking about them
