What I think is pretty interesting is that we’ve now established that Mr.Nimbus was at one time Rick’s friend, and also knew his wife Diane. Mr. Nimbus seems to like 3 ways with couples. Then, at the end of the show, Jerry and Beth are at the hotel trying to decide if they really want to go through with the 3-way. Mr. Nimbus opens the door, questions them, and they give in. Now, the part I really found interesting is when Beth and Jerry say “Please don’t tell Rick, he wouldn’t understand.” To which Mr. Nimbus says “Yes. He. Would.” So in my mind this means, at one time at least, maybe Rick and Diane had a 3-way with Mr. Nimbus or there was a love triangle going on when they were still together. OR maybe Rick and Mr. Nimbus had a thing.

With references to Reed Richards and the Council of Reeds this show has done in the past, I would be very surprised if this isn’t an intentional Namor reference. He has very similar hair and facial structure. He’s dressed a lot like Namor dresses, even down to his red trunks that Namor first showed up in (in the Fantastic Four comics at least, idk about before that) and he calls Rick “Richard” and even brings up Rick’s mysterious blonde wife (Namor is constantly trying to woo Sue Richards as well). If this somehow isn’t intentional, it’s a wild coincidence 0_0

Rick and Morty have swapped home dimensions (canonically) twice. First when the love potion turned everyone who doesn't share genes with Morty into Cronenberg monsters and secondly when Morty caught the attention of The Squirrels. The mad max world romp was totally separate. The Council of Mortys went back and froze Morty's family on Morty's original Earth but I'm not sure whether or not that resulted in that family's death. The original family remained unmutated because their shared genes with Morty.

I wondered that too since at the end of s4 Rick had alienated his entire family and yet they seem pretty tolerant of him this episode. Heck Beth and Jerry even plead with Nimbus not to tell Rick even though at the end of s4 it seemed that noone, save for Morty maybe, really cared about what he had to say anymore, particularly about which Beth was the clone. And Rick acknowledged he was a terrible father yet here Rick seems his regular self.

The Secret Treaty sounds like a restraining order between Richard and Mr. Nimbus, if they were former friends/lovers/comrades or whatever. The police being controlled by Nimbus becomes the police getting involved in a domestic dispute between Rick and Mr. Nimbus. But it is just wacky and twisted given the premise of the show. Nimbus has to at least be able to travel dimensions since Rick and Morty have shifted dimensions multiple times. Also he was able to rescue them, so he was either able to use Rick's tech or get there on his own.
